blade or glavie?

like im a bow man. I was thinking of doing a duo weapon guy. Like spice up my build with a second weapon. I think my build will look like this when finished.
70fire
70lighning
70pacheon
70 bicheon or 70 heuskal
still a question to me because like i can be usefull in a group for wars. And also by my self.

Which would be better? blade + shield or glavie

Also i would like to know who would win pvp wise in general? str glavie? or str blader?

Hmmm...I dont think you should go Duo. Just focus on a single weapon.

And if you do..Its based on interest.

Blades=Good tankers

Glavies=hmmm I forget what to call them.

are you sure. because all im missing is ice. and like thats kinda not a must. it could be made up for in alchamy or the passives of the bicheon or heuskal. Also my bird from pacheon can benefit my glavie or blader skills in striking faster. I advise you to reconsider.

Like is ice realy a must???
the stun can substitute for the nova wind
the knock down can substitute for the nova wind
phy deff and buffs can be made up by alchamy.

i dont realy see how ice would effect the build that much.

The glaive passive would work better than the blade passive for you when you are using your bow. Actually, when your using a bow the blade passive doesnt work at all.

As for the cold, do whatever you want.. its your character so have fun

well im thinking of going glavie cause i heard that bladers suk at higher levels and the cap is coming off in janguary.

+ i think it is a good multi purpose build. Like bow str is the fastest str leveler. It can also be the best pvper. Many combo possiblilties because now you have a close range weapon. you can prob kill a nother glavie before he gets to you. Antidevil + beserke bow+ soul spear + ghost spear= insane damage

Rember the last book of beserker bow is like almost the highest damage skill out of the weapon catagory.

Its a crazy theory in progess. If you are in babel i can prob pvp you if you are near my level.

Bladers don't suck at pvp at higher levels, they pwn.
I'm really starting to regret that I switched from blade to glavie at lvl 32 >'<

It's true, bladers pwn at lvl10-60, after that... well, they're useless,
lvl64+ ---> Before the alchemy update bladers couldn't kill anyone and no one could kill them
After the alchemy update the bladers still cant kill anybody but most can kill them ----> block parry ratio
Most higher leveled glaivers use shield when knocked down so kd is almost pointless, ice resistance makes the chains as pointless...

EDIT: blader with normal gear can kill anybody else with normal gear, thats also true

how can u say bladers pawn at 1-60? when they have only 2 KD's and 2 Stabs at that lvl? at lvl 70 with a bicheon mastery of 63+ they get 3 KD's and 3 stabs, thats the time when they can truly pawn... considering having a nice blade of course. :wink:

i think the heuksal passive is too much. honestly, i can't kill some of the pure str glaivers 1 or 2 lvls higher than me becoz of the their high hp and blader's low damage. :banghead:

hm..no. most bladers you guys see are weak, you have never really met a strong blader i assume. A sos blader and good gear can overtake any glaive, no matter if they have full sos set and sos +7 or what, blade will always win. How do i know? i logged on a farmed blader and transfered my gear, not a glaive i couldnt kill (except waterpump, who ran away each time his hp dropped below its relaxed position).

at lvl 70, bladers own the most. if you have the right gear, a blader can own the server. it doesnt matter what gear the glaive has then, they will lose in 1v1, i seen this many times and experienced it myself.

edit: but i dont think bladers can do much once level cap goes up, glaviers will have more hp and i heard bladers dont do much more dmg. but i dunno.

with my gear, i killed jexxx twice with a farmed blader acct, and he has 4 sos pieces and br 17 shild i think it was. Yes they can change to shild, but do you really think it will save them from all 3 stabs? sometimes it wont block, sometimes it will, and maybe, just maybe, the blader might crit? Jexxx aint weak either, he's strong. Over half the battle being fought, the glavier is on the ground. As long as the glaiver is on the ground, they get hit hard 3 times.

i know this game alot from experience, cant say bladers are useless at lvl 63+ with the new skills. the lvl 68 stabs are powerful, but like anything else, if not used by the right hands, it can be very weak.

i changed from blade to glaive at 60, good thing too

, not that bladers suck or anything, i was just bored... buddy of mine has sos 64 +7 blade... and its fantasic... but yeah, overall glaives just kill so much faster.. easier to lvl i think anyways

blader is hardest build to lvl, and well worth it too. i also have sos +7. sos blades are the strongest if the right user has it. It doesnt even matter what another build has, the blade will always win. our reward for trianing so hard i think.

not really... yes at 68 they become very powerful, but they can still be killed if they are stunned, or against a poweful nuker, bladers are hard to kill, and hard to kill with - so the sos blade is very necissary for such a character.

they can still be killed with stun? uhh.. you really underestimate bladers. if they have shitty gear, shitty wpn, and shitty shild, yea, they gunan die. if u got a sos blade, its like heaven. bladers who dont know how to play will die fast, come to babel and watch me fight, i'll show u how its done.

1) I'd recommend using a heuksel because the passive isn't weapon depended.. however blade might be an option to depending on your preference.

2) You will have a really hard time when the cap gets increased, as you are running out of masteries. It is probably a better idea to make a char with a majority of int, as you won't need to max both weapon masteries. For example you only need 60 or 63 heuksel.

i know there is no best build, never said blader was best, just saying with proper gear at lvl 70 cap, blader can kill any1. i never said they can never die, i can die, but in 1v1? unlikely. even if the glaiver does 3 crits in a row, if they get kd, the blader hp resets, so you cant say killing blade is easy. Tell me, in guild wars, whats the last build people always target, bladers? every1 knows its not smart to target bladers right away, they are much better tankers then glaive.

in 1v1 the only build that probably can kill me is int sword, because of kd and the three stabs. And this isn't overconfidence, its fact. i been blader my entire sro life -.-"

btw... if glaivers switch to shield if they get knockdown... whats the use of blocking ratio(discipline stones and it needs to be 100%) on blades?? that way low chance for glaivers to block the stabs...

My experience so far being a blader at lvl 65, fighting a glaive at my level with equal gear and I will win. My build atm isn't even considered a good blade build, since I am using lightning imbue and my fire force is way behind. You don't need a sos blade for killing glaivers. At least not the ones below 70 wearing garments.

LMAO, dude heuskal passive at lvl 70 is what... 1/14 or 15th their total hp? it honestly shouldn't make much difference when you have a shield on which completely blocks attacks...
