It comes down to your characters build...if you want to be STR player
and focus mainly on glave/blade and sword attacks then its best to
have a high "hp" as this incresese you STR.
likewise, if you want to use magic skills and abilities INT, then its best to
have a high "mp" which increases your INT

Not always true for int characters. Add both if you can, hp>mp though. Because in fights you rarely lose too much mp.

just a note, if you plan on becoming a nuker you need a lot of MP. the more MP the stronger your nukes will be.

adding MP doesnt add to your INT total... adding INT to your gear adds INT total...FK47 wrote:Well... without hp you'd be dead. Whereas with less mp you just need a few extra pots. So +hp.
low MP people use the same amount of MP pots as a high MP guy... the amount of MP you recover from a pot (same size) is the same for both guys...Ivanhaus wrote:Ell wrote:satman83 wrote:Well.

umm no... MP has nothing to do with how strong your nukes will be... your magic balance has to do with how strong your nukes are...
adding INT to your gear raises your total INT count also raising your magic balance...
the only reason i can think to add MP is so that youd gain more from grains (because they recover a percentage, so the higher your MP the more 25% would be)
ANYWAYS... adding HP ftw... more HP means more survivabilty... and you get more from grains as with MP... so you could also recover more health making you able to tank more...

Ivanhaus wrote:Lance wrote:hp/mp doesnt increase your str/int damage....
if you go into your character section when you lvl up and put all three points into MP it will increase your magic balance which will increase your magical attack by allowing you to hit with a higher %. (a magic balance of 100% will hit harder than a magic balance of 73%.this is why nukers put everything into MP.

he is talking about + MP blues, not INT
superblur wrote:MP does not equal INT
HP does not equal STR
dont say it like that youll confuse people
STR is the actual stat point which adds to HP, phy attack, and phy balance...
ADDING STR to your gear will raise what was said above...
INT is the actual stat point which adds to MP, mag attack, and mag balance...
ADDING INT will raise what was said above...
ADDING MP+ to your gear is pointless... more MP means nothing... period.
ADDING HP+ to your gear will save your life...

everyone needs hp though. so id say add as much as you can.

(sorry for spamming)
thats totally wrong. int (MP bar) makes you hit much harder while your using your imube (lightning, fire, ice). without imube your attacks will be stronger, but i think you do significantly more damage with int rather than str (HP bar)
but i have both a pure str and pure int characters.
int = ownage
hp = ownage
either way the balances .... well balance out. so your choice really
(but i suggest hp, more health = more life, more life = last longer in battle, lasting longer in battle = opponent pissed off, opponent pissed off = ....laughter) muahahaha
sorry again for spamming =\

He means adding MP increase blues on your gear won't raise your magical attack, only adding INT blues will.
How about this, your MP and HP bars determine how many spells you can use and how much damage you can take respectively.
While the amount of strength and intelligence points you put in your character determines your phys/mag balance which determines the amount of phy/mag damage you doand take.
If your only talking about items with no blues, then amount of INT=MP bar and amount of STR=HP bar but if you add blues which increase your HP or MP bar, then you could have someone who is pure int with 7k HP when they should only have 4k.
In his first post, he asks whether having a lot of HP is better or having a lot of MP. To answer that, it would obviously be more HP because you can take in more damage, while having MP would only lessen MP pots you had to use.
I understand that some of you are interpreting his question as whether adding more INT or STR is better thus determining the HP and MP amounts(you could be right his question wasn't very clear). But that is an entirely different question about builds and is based completely on self preference.
