pure str build question..

Im thinking of useing fire and lighting for buffs, but cant decide what wep to use, since i like bolth glaive and blade. Is there any point in lvling up bolth sword- and spear masteries or just to go with one of them ?

nop, not a good idea to get both. Just choose either one.

If you wanna level fast go for glavie, if you don't mind leveling slooow, go for blade.

blade+shield is better for PvP right ?

you will be able to take a bigger beating with a blade and shield. but you have more health and more power with glavie. of course, you could get a couple spear passives if you wanted, and go blade.

Blade-
Can take a massive beating
Have knockdowns, which DOMINATE in higher lvs.
Very fast chains that can do 500-900(Around there, depending on the wep stats, enemies geare etc) per hit.

Glavie-Slightly more damage than the blade
slightly more hp, but less defence
Slower
Stun

I myself reccomend blade because its good in all aspects, damage, defence, quickness, also some awsome knockdowns and chains..
If a blader uses his skills and knockdowns right, they can EASILY match the damage of a glavie..

A chain that can hit 600-900 per hit(high lv chains are 4-5hits each) which can add up to 3k-5k damage around...which is pretty equal to the glavie, and if a bladder maxes his knockdowns, they can get the KD that hits 1-3k on the nockdown, then use the triple or double stab with does around 1-4k damage..

I highly reccomend blader, but thats just me..

to answer your question, just choose one, lvling both of them is certainly not the way to go.
either build can be beaten by the other, all depends on who u run into and various other factors

Something I would like to add here, is that even a 70 blader with +7 sos blade can struggle to kill a fully farmed/pimped gear nuker. While a glaiver without that sos weapon can kill them simply because their moves are higher dmg/fewer hits (less time to pot)/ and that soul spear soul, the damage actually is all at once... say you go up to someone with 5k hp and hit 3k each time, no stun involved... they cant move as you're hitting them the first time cause they're already dead XD
