Spear or Sword

Ive been working with spears for awhile now, but Im contemplating switching to sword/shield, for the shield benefits. What do you think?

Am not sure. But both reqire good equipment, if you're going sword/shield you'll need both good sword and shield (br17+). If you dont have good shield others can just kill you easy considering you barely block and low HP.
I went spear and sticking to it because can just get SOS spear with high magic atk without worrying much about HP. I hit higher DMG and have a little bit more HP.
If you like simple nuker tactics go spear, if you want more complex tactics go sword/shield. It really mostly depends on equipment and your timing on skills.

You will do better in PVP if u so sword and shield but the spear also has its advantages like higher hp and higher DMG.

one block surpases that hp increase, and you keep on blocking

if u go sword, make sure u get the fire tree, also the get the lightning passive for an increased rate in blocking.
with my experience with sword, its very nice to be able to tank a lot of mobs around me and then AOE them to death ^,..,^ thats how I usually train with sword. I use the AOE spell of all of the elements and combo them. if going 1-1 i use chains w/imbue(fire)
i don't know anything about spear, but sword I know is good, and plan to stay sword^^

a full int shuldnt have weapon skill,, only the heuksal passive skill,, and use only nukes,,, then when in pve use spear,,, and pvp use sword/shield.

Well.. you need very good equipment for both of them. I just pick spear because that's what I prefer. If you prefer s+s then go for it. What I would do is: stick with spear till you are fully farmed and have good eq, and then switch. Just make sure you don't get more then 60heuksel, and have room enough for adding bicheon ^^

S+S.....good br is beast, and it's better in pvp
