Okay so on my last character I never had this problem because I had gold scrolls, well that's not an option now so I'm leveling slower than before. I can do two things and I want some oppinions of what you think I should do. My character is a pure str blade using protector.

Grind on Hyeongcheons untill I level to 31
Or
Go do the Earth Taoist quests and have a high risk of getting seriously pwned lol.

Well... I would do the earth taiost quest, with PROT you should be ok... I mean i did it with prot at 29 i did Earth Taiosts from 29-32 lolz

I say taoists also. Thats what i did and they werent too big of a problem w/ garmets.

I always get ZOMG kind of owned. I've got the kind of luck that gets me multiple giants and champions....alllllllll at once T_T

Lvl 30, I have no problem getting mobbed by just regular taoists, but EVERY time I go out to them, I'll see a champion, I'll go to kill it and oh look another pops up, run away this seems familiar, and I either get uber mobbed or a giant pops up, or one sees me and starts floating over to pwn me. My luck is disgusting lol.

dude, u got it easy! Im a pure strength fire blader that uses ARMOR. I started those quests when i was lvl 28, and i was sp farming (my masteries was @ lvl 22 each). Although i did have a sos +3 blade and 2 other sos armor, i tuffed it out.

So my advice to u is suck it up princess and get ready for some major hard ass grinding (ull get used to it after a while)

ps: id advice not to use wolves, they die way to easily; mine kept on dying so I unsummoned him. l8er its ez to catch the xp up on Heongcheons. I finished the quest 3 times around lvl 30 (and that to i died like 6 times)

I'm used to hard ass grinding, I got a char to 64 before it got hacked lol.

Personally i think Hyeongcheons are the most useless SRO mob, yet they seem to cover a LARGE area! o and of course...

me too but with garment

i played taoist and find it easy... well my character is pure int with garmet (now i turn it to protector to hunt scorpions). My wife did have more problems, her character is pure str with protector and sword. my tip, watch the respawn, there are areas where u allways will found a giant or 2 and many champions, and other aereas where u only get regular mobs. From time to time the respawns areas changes but it takes some hours. Also the giants respawns at some points and if no one kill them they disapear passing their areas.

I had no problems using my wolf on the taoists. When I did the taoist charms quest, I was lvl 29-30 and my wolf was either at my level or one below. Transport recovery kits (x-large) help a LOT!. I always make sure I'm carrying at least 20 of them before I go out anywhere, usually 50. True, the taoists do a TON of damage, but if one of them even hits my wolf once, I just hit it back with soul cut blade or similar to get it off my wolf (and pot the wolf if needed) and all is good.

The wolf definitely helps kill off the taoists quicker as long as you can keep the taosts' attention on you. I think my wolf died maybe once, if at all, during the 3 rounds of taoist charm quest.

do taoists, i did on my blader and had absolutely no problems

I used a bow until lvl 31 on my pure str fire blade with no bow skills and then leveld on the headless guys for 32..I did a very quick power level and this is how it worked. I never killed an earth ghost or taoist. Ghost soldiers-horses-one level of headless guys= 32

a better question would be who isn't hack

id do the earth taiost quest cuse you get a good amount of exp from them so they help on the lvl.

I'm doing the same quest right now. But I'm pure int with SOM/SOS garments. They do 25 damage IF they're lucky. But you need to have a shitload of pills, the burns really eat away at your health, and your wolf's. I carry at least 30-40 pills for my wolf and use them as soon as he gets burnt, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than using pots all the time.

For CodeZero, I'd say if you're having a hard time surviving the taoists go for the hyeongcheons until you're not scared of them anymore. If you can afford the pots and pills set your autopot pretty high and go nuts on taoists. The experience isn't bad on that quest, but it's not fantastic either. I only got 15% for doing the first 100 charms.
