Is it worth the SP to get Grass-Walk

I have a lvl 24 Glavie/fire character with my weapon skill at 24, my fire skill at 22 or 23, Force at 18, and when I was first starting put 13 lvls in cold for only the freezing skill... Now my problem is that I never really farmed beside the first 12 lvls or so when I dint really understand the skills and nvr lvled anything. So my question, is it worth it to use some SP to lvl up my lightning to get the Grass-walk?

Moogie just recently got into the grass walk series, and must pierce force, as we're int based.

she thinks they are worth it.

I'm a lightning main so i have them as standard, and love it :D

My first character was also screwed up.

20 force, 20 heuksal, 20 lightning, 10 bicheon and 10 cold at level 22.

Although I did have to restart him there's no regret at all dumping the points into grasswalk. I think biggie best explained it:

A fast run is one of the most important things when it comes to leveling. Let’s do some basic math. If it takes you 6 seconds (one imbue) to kill a mob, and 12 seconds to get to the next mob, that would mean that you get one kill every 18 seconds. What if you could cut down the 12 seconds of walking down to 6 seconds? You will level 33% faster. That right there is an incredible increase in leveling.

As for me screwing up... Can I still SP farm and save my character or would I be better off starting from scratch?

another question. i have 12 lvls in lightning for grasswalk lvl1. is it worth it to lvl it higher? no idea if its just giving the buff +time or if its making you run faster

it gives it more time and gives an extra 3% speed for each level. so it's up to you really. if it's the ONLY skill you have in lightning, it may not be worth the exp for the mastery to get it much higher. if you have other lightning skills anyways, then it's definitely worth it. that's my opinion anyways.

I think it's worth every single SP. :) It's the only skill I have in Lightning (except for the passive), and I plan on upgrading it for as long as I can.

ok, let me modify what i said a little. i do agree with marcato on this, at least for my char. but the main reason i have it is because i wanted to have more than just 2 trees, ice and blade. i figured i could do 3 trees easy, so i got lightning. the only skills i have in it are grasswalk and passive also. and i plan to level it up.

but i'm not so sure i would level it up so much if had 3 trees already. it really just depends on how much SP you can afford. if you plan to keep up 4 trees, then you're going to definitely want to drop your masteries back by a few levels. since you have a zero gap at level 24 already, you might be hard up for SP for a while if you go with lighning also.

but in the end, it's up to you. the first level is -definitely- worth it though.

GRASSWALK LVL9 FTW!!!!

in all seriousness though, this is a must-have skill... i'd even hazard to say that it's a must-have for ANY character (though i'm sure biggie would take issue with this statement). i heart being able to outrun things. i can't wait till i'm > horses ;)

atm i have 4 masterys i have to lvl up. glaive, ice, fire and force. and i built up a 5 lvl gap for the time im spending into more then 3 masterys.
i plan to lvl fire only up to 32 for the second book of phy. dmg, mag. def buff and the passive. so thats a lot of sp invested, but i wont have to spend any into it after i got it to 32.
in force i only lvl up the ress skill, harmony theraphy, the debuffs and the passive. since vital spot muscle (or whatever) has only a few ranks i wont have to spend sp here often.
in ice i just use the imbue, ice guard and the passive as well.
so most sp is spent in the glaive skills.
this might seems to be a messed up char, but i was fine with a 3 lvl gap lvling up 3 masterys (i dont count fire here, a few hundred more sp and i can forget about it. its currently at 31 like all my masterys i just have to catch up with skills). i dont think i will ever hit the lvl cap, so i dont care about max mastery lvl. i just get what i think might be useful. i might get higher lvls of grass walk later on if i can manage the sp :)

Once you get to a certain level soul rebirth will resurrect any character, if I recall correctly. The only difference at higher levels is how much exp and hp/mp they regain. So that tree can probably be kept at or below 50 mastery.

the third book of grasswalk flow lets you run as fast as my horse. 50 percent increase or so. probably more once you upgrade all the way.

9m moving speed.

lolol. you run like superman. can't wait to get it up to that level!
