what do you think - blade/lightning?

Hi, my brother is new to silkroad and I am also wondering what would be best for him:

he doesnt play much but still wants to level fairly quickly, so I recommended to him that he concentrates only on one weapon and one force skill so that he wont be needing mugh SP and can have a faily small gap.

okay so he wants to be blader. so I told him all about the force skills and he has decided on lightning. ok these two cant be changed anymore, blade/sword/lightning it is - he is lvl13 now. (reason for lightning is the obvious buffs and grassflow-walk)

but what about the armor and str/int distribution?

and which weapon? Sword or Blade?

at the moment he uses a blade, is hybriding it out a bit with 2:1 str:int ratio, and uses protector.

so any suggestions what would be best for the pvp area?

PS: he is thinking of becoming a hunter, who will also be hunting alone, so he wants to be a char that can take care of itself, if you know what I mean - not like some chars that can deal a lot of damage but go down quite quickly - which would be useful if you do hunting in a pack

Looking at the stat distribution. 2:1 as you stated, he should use a blade (sword is out of the question, it’s meant for int-based users). Since he’s more strength. One thing confuses me. If he doesn’t play much, but wants to level fairly quickly. Why not becoming a nuker then, it’s the fast levelling build. Or maybe bow.

Anyway, lightning is good, but fire does more damage, and thus kills quicker. Lightning on the side won’t use up to much SP.

And for the pvp, well the usual thing. KD and stab etc.

If u wanna lvl fast? Go pure int and fight with a sword. Get lightning and sword skills.

well what i think, is that he shouldnt be putting that much point into int, i mean he should go pure str from now on, because what a blader has is great tanking, if u put int, then he wont tank that much.

and also i have heard that blader is one of the slowest lvling up build.
the fastest is nuker or bow, as priam said

thanks for the ideas so far. so pure strength it is.

those that suggested something completely different like a nuker - that is not what I meant. he is sticking with lightning blade. I discouraged him to be a nuker cause that is pure int and as he is a beginner pure int is more difficult and more challenging against mobs afaik, due to lower health.

the question that still remains open is armor/protector/garment? and why? thanks

Full str blade is the slowiest build leveling =/

And Pure int spear is the fastest.
