DEFINITIVE Nuker Questions

This is a question for anyone who has, or has alot of experience with all int nukers. I have read the nuker topics, and have browsed the fourms alot looking for answeres, and I have found some great help, but nothing definitive as to the best all around straight up damage build at 70. I was leaning towards Fire Main / Light. With fire for passives imbue ect, light for shock lion and normal nuke. Heksual for HP masteries with stuning spear skill. I guess ths is similar to Fly's nuker build. However I have talked to alot of people who seem to think that, now, sword+shield with doublestab and using imbues + quick nukes ect ect is a more viable option. All im really going for is maximum damage at 70, and I plan to grind with garmet spear and stick to greens/whites I can mostly one shot. Any help is greatley appericated.

Sword and shield is good for 1 vs. 1 and for better tanking, but highest damage output will be fire/spear main with light sub.

Do you (or anyone reading) know the correct skill distrubution for this build? Some of it is obvious, but some of the skills that people mention seem over-rated to me (physical attack fire skills for example).

Those will not be v.important to you but just farm for them when you can, they are not essential.

If the skills seem questionable, don't get them. Save your SP for more important things. You can farm later.

I understand that, however I have not played for long enough to really know the inner and outer workings of playing in the late levels, does anyone know the normal template for a fire/light spear nuker? Like a skill list?

fire: max
fire imbue max
flame wave arrow (the nuke) book 1 levle 1, boo 2 max, book 3 at least 1 (long way off)
fire protection max
fire shield: if you are pvping get this until you are cold immune
lightning : max
must piercing: max
wolfs thunderbolt max
shout: max
grasswalk max book 1, book 2 get at least 1, and 1 in book 3
concentration, get book 1 level 1 unless you want to max it
passive: max
cold: max
guard of ice: max
passive: max
Heuskal: 30
passive 3
Hybrids may not want/need cold or heuskal. I didn't mention sword/shiled because he said spear nuker.
These are my opinions.

What hell suggested is pretty much the route I'm going except I'm lvling heuk as well. Lvl56 right now, farming w/52mastery, and I've gotten cold almost farmed to 52. I'm guessing around 63/4 I'll have the my sp farmed. And don't bother w/the flame body or fire passive until everything else is farmed. Even then it's up to you. GL, you'll have fun w/the nuker

Exactly the sort of thing I was looking for, thank you sir, much love. You mentioned sword / shield. I was under the impression that spear did significantly more damage, however I just watched a friends pvp video who has bicheon maxed (knocks down, runs to max range, nukes, rinse+repeat) and he does very well. Was I wrong about spears being superior in general for PvP / PvE ?
Also, I had planned full all int, I was under the impression hybrids (who mostly favor sword+shield) would be nerfing there damage even more!

Both nuker builds do well...or they wouldn't exist.
It's a about personal preference.
I chose a nuke + sss + truth/mars ftw v. nuke + kd + double stab, then stab, and repeat.

Is the diffrence in damage between sword+shield nuke vs spear nuke huge?

Look at a sword and spear of the same lvl and compare the mag att diff. That's the diff in power.

Do most people who go nuker, use hybrid with sword+shield, or is all int + sword shield viable?

Mostly pure. Swords need to compensate for it's lack in power, or go hybrid and be that much weaker but live longer.

From the videos I have seen, most sword + shield nukers use all the knock downs, and instead of using nukes like flame arrow or lion shout or thunderbolt, they stick to knocking there oponent down and attacking with imbue. Is that normal, do sword + shield nukers favor the up close damage?

My planed build all the way to 90 is
90 fire(all buffs, passive, fire nuke 2nd and 3rd book max)
90 light(Buffs, passive, Shock, grass walk, and phantom walk, light nukes both max)
60 ice(deff buff, nova, nuke 2nd book)
30 spear(passive and ghost petal(good for a finishing move(less mp than any shock at this lvl)), and if your ambitios you can get soul spear)
30 sword(passive only, knock down if you want)
I use a sword for PvP the block has saved my life many of times
for PvE I use spear
my main damage dealers are my nukes the only wep skill i use is ghost petal atm
if i am getting ganged up un i will nova and phantom walk away
it works for me, let me kno what you think

Yes. KD is 50% prob, if they don't kd they just nuke, and try again. And being pure also makes your imbue stronger btw.

I had always invisioned (for leveling) using Flame Arrow / Thunderbolt to 1shot grind with a spear. Will using a sword / shield change or in any way (in your opinion) slow down my grinding? Is it a big enough diffrence to change from 1shotting mobs to 2 or 3 shotting mobs?
