Why is it recommended to max the Fire Force Series (River, Extreme, Poison, Soul) for a pure INT nuker? The description says it needs a weapon to use.
Just curious since won't a pure nuker be ... well, nuking and not using a weapon?

nukers do only use magic, and dont use weapons to fight, but the weapons add to magic power which makes the nukes more powerful, duh

You're going to want weapon skills even if your a nuker. If you're Sword and Shield, get knock down and stab. If you're spear, get ghost and soul spear.
You don't need them, as nobody is required to have a certain skill, but I'm pretty sure it'll save your life at one point or another.

I am still not clear on how this works.
For example, if a person uses lightning imbue, do they still need to max the fire imbue to make their fire nukes better?
And if you use fire imbue and not lightning, do you put no points into the thunderforce series (which would make your lightning nukes wearker, I suppose?)

Doesn't matter which imbue you use, as long as it is not cold.

Not what I mean. Since the AoENuker said that the Fire Force Series increses the power of nukes, does that mean that it increases ALL nukes? Or just fire nukes?
With Fire Imbue on, do Ice/Lightning nukes get the 'extra power' mentioned?

never said anything about Fire Force Series increasing magic attack
just get lighting for must piercing, and fire nuke, i wouldn't recommend lighting nuke, maybe for PvE, but not PvP.

I asked: "Why is it recommended to max the Fire Force Series (River, Extreme, Poison, Soul) for a pure INT nuker?"
AoENuker replied: "nukers do only use magic, and dont use weapons to fight, but the weapons add to magic power which makes the nukes more powerful, duh"
So, if you were not answering my question about Fire Force Series, what were you referring to?

Oh
I thought nukers attacked range with nukes at high levels. A high level nuker was telling me he never used his spear: maybe he was teasing me.
So nukers still attack at melee range using their spear at high levels? And this is why maxing Fire Force Series is a necessity?
Is Nuker ranged or melee?
p.s. if ranged, do they have the same range as archers?
