Looking for opinions on which is worse. A 9 level gap 'til level 38 then a 0 gap 'til 70 or a 5 level gap all the way to level 70? Doing no quests for either...
From the math it looks like you'd get around the same amount of SP by 70.

Well.. best times to farm are:
- when you get a new weapon *say you are lvl 21, the best weapon would prolly be +5, if you are lvl 24 it can be sos+5*
- when you can kill fast (see above+below

)
- where there are good/crowded spot
It's easier to do this with a 9lvl gap till 38..
+ a 5 lvl gap is just much worse, as it will simply take you more time xD

Hmm this is how bad it is:
If you kept a 5 gap all the way to 70, the problem is by lvl 30+++= you will gain only 0.025% each mob. AT lvl 40+++, don't even expect to get 0.015% per mob, maybe 0.01% only. At lvl 50+++, hehe...who knows what will happen? 0.005% per mob?
If you farm at lvl 1 to 38, you will die when you begin to reach 20+. Not only it will be slow, it will be boring. A 5 gap at lvl 24 and training in chakjis gives me 10% in 45 min. So in other words, if you go 9 gap, you will only gain 10% in 225 min = almost 4 hours. 100% = 40 hours. That's just going up from 24 to 25. As you go up, it gets harder.
So in other words, both are bad. But like chaud says keeping a 5 gap all the time makes grinding less boring at first, giving you mental preparation and motivation to lvl up further.

Sounds good to me. I'll try the 9 gap to 38. I know it's going to be painfully slow and probably take a good month or two. In the long run I think it will be worth it. I'm just trying to avoid being level 16 for a few months. At least this way, in my mind, I'm moving forward to some sort of goal. Wish me luck. I'm Lv14 with 1043SP so far...so I really haven't even started yet...LOL.

I say take the highway or the mud.
I did have gap in my lower lvls till around lvl 3x, then I went with 0 lvl gap to 52, put on a 9 lvl gap, farmed 40k, then 0 lvl gap to 64, farmed 15k, then 0 lvl gap to 70, and now farming there with 9 lvl gap.
