It seems to me that I can skip the 4-hit chain and go directly for the 5-hit chain

Qns is:

1> Is 4-hit chain better than 5-hit chain?
2> Can I skip 4-hit chain and go for 5-hit chain?
3> anyone learn both 4-hit and 5-hit chains? Why?

thanks in Advance

1. As far as I can tell, the 4 chain is shorter, and does less damage. Basically depends on how much hp you enemy still has.
2. Yes, the 4 chain is no prerequisite for the 5 chain.
3. Yes, as silly as it may sound: my 90% KD nuker actually has both chains. I learned them because I needed sword anyway, and didn't care about a few extra K sp. The chains are quite effective actually, dealing about as much damage as my nukes, but without the splash effect. I sometimes use them to take out single enemies, just for the fun of watching it, and I've used them as surprises during PvP (noone expects me to use them). :)

i use both books to kill

5th then depending on remaining hp i either Stab - Let wolf kill - 4th chain
and pvp i just use both books over and over and Knockdown when i need hp

Pure str btw. I like my method works good for me yea its alot more sp but i think its way worth both books.

The 5-hit chain is definatly better for hybrids or ints due to more hits with imbue, i guess 5-hit is better for str too as there are more chances to get a crit, also the last hit of 5-hit chain does big damage. Use the 4-hit for pve, or if you use cold imbue, then use both one after each other in pvp. Any high lvl bladers want to post their opinions?

When PvE, I always use them both. First I use a ranged skill to get the mob faster to me. Then it is 5-chain 4-chain. If the mob still got some hp left, my wolf will take care about that while I continue on to next mob.

For PvP, I tend to use the knockdown skills more. Except for attacking together with a spear, bow or glaive user.

Wow, this actually helped a lot... Seeing as I am a pure str blader now, and wanted to know about the same thing xP

Thanks for posting the topic and for the cool answers.

What do u mean with the 5 and 4 hit chain? Do u mean the one wich u get at lvl or something and the one u get on lvl 30?

Well, I kinda figured that my sig, my armor, and my sword usage gave it away, but I also like to surprise my opponents. I'm even considering buying a decent lvl 52 blade+5 or something (lvl 1 SoSun blade to go with my shield?) to run around with while I'm thieving, and switch to sword at the last moment. :)
