Okie, for pure INT, or heavy INT hybrid, sword users have shield, have extra block ratio, and spear does good damage, and have a passive hp buff. But i see some player prefer sword in pvp and spear in pve. I also heard that during pvp, sword is better than spear. Just why sword is better in pvp??

And btw, sword does less damage than spear but attack faster, what is the diffirence between their average damage? Considering their skills, killing speed(lvling) and potion consumption, which one should i choose?

I like sword, you get extra defence from shield and the block thing.
Also if you get level 68 bicheon you will have knock down skills and can stab 3 times..

It is often claimed that since spear does more damage (INT users mostly use nuke in PvE) that spear users should level faster. I disagree with that statement. Yes, you can chose to take less damage by the extra protection, but I prefer to use that extra protection to attack multiple enemies. That way I can use the splash damage of my nukes (which is considerable) to kill more enemies with the same amount of nukes. I dare to think that I kill faster and more efficiently than a spear user of my level.

Again pure preference.

Sword/shield --- less dmg, more def and has a chance to block
Spear ---- More dmg, less def. (Don't even thnk of getting a block unless you lvl up a skill, which is considered quite useless)

You choose. However, the advantage of sword/shield is that it can save your life. Imagine a nuke from some higher lvl people. Over 5k dmg could be blocked, giving you time to run away.

i use ss for the block

I have no skills except the passive, I started out a spear(I od have some skills but I am removing them)

some people choose to use both masteries not maxed out for the block passive and the hp passive

But IMO a nuker should use sword and sheild it gives you the chance of that life saving block durring your casting as well as trying to run away.


a sheild with a high BR is alot better than the small amount of hp alotted by the spear passive...

also witht he new alchemy you can add hp by stones..... so now u can have the best of both worlds

i seen alot of ppl grind wit spear cuz higher dmg

and then pvp wit swd nd shield (and use nukes only)...cuz of BR and mor D
