Can someone please explain Balance?

What does it mean and what effect does it have on our characters?
I am a pure str character, and obviously have a low int balance, what effect does this have on me?
Any help would be appreciated.

This do that you have lesser magical defense and magical atk (with imbue).
That's.. about it. If you add Int to your char (with 'em leveling points)
You get higher mag. balance, but you loose on your phy. balance since you didn't add there.

From what I've heard...If you've got like a 90% mag balance...You will do 90% of the total dmg after all other factors that affect your dmg have been calculated(armor, stats, etc.)

Anymore input on this subject? It seems to be most people are in the dark when it comes to "balance"
