K well.. im completely new to the game. Only lvl 3 and i RLY wanna start a good archer

Not one of those characters you start then realize you messed up and hafta restart..

I want it to be mostly magic based.. But with alot of health...

I just dont know what masteries to level up .. I want it the archer to be LIGHTNING... but i need bow mastery to right?

And how much str and int should i add up?

Does anyone have any suggestions they wanna offer me? Appreciate it!

well you can't : adding strenght will give you much health, but realy few mana (then you won't be able to do much damage like an int character). You really have to choose cause most people agree that pure characters are better (pure int or pure str). You may also try an hybrid character (putting statpoints in str and int), then you should have a look in the guide section of the forum (search for Suicidegirl's guide).

If you want (like most people) try a pure character, and want to stick to bow, then i would recommend putting all your statpoints in strength, cause pure int archers are not considered a good build...
Most archers choose pure strength and fire (some pick cold instead). They don't choose lightning as a primary force mastery cause lightning has good magical buffs (which are not useful to a strength character), whereas fire as good physical buffs.

So... if you want your character to use 'magical' abilities, forget bow and choose either sword or spear as weapon and put all your statpoints in int... when you'll hit lvl 30 and more, you'll be able to cast 'nukes' which deal great damage (but you won't have many health points).

Imma bow user, and do use lighting for the grasswalk and the concentration series. ^^ Its really up to you what you want.

I would personally start a STR/FIRE character with glaive. It's probably the most basic character build for when you're learning the game. But then again, it's up to you.

The archers are very good. I'll suggest reading the hellsharpt's sticky guide. Put only stats on STR. I think the best choise is to use Pacheon as main mastery then Fire then Lightning. So get all three cuz you need them all.
