knock-down skill

what is this knock donw effect in the sword skills???????? is it useful in pvp?and in pve???
pleas answer me

It hits the target with an attack and sends them flying to the ground... while grounded, only other blades and swords may strike the target.
The "Killin Heaven" series can only be used when the target is grounded, thus it is usually a good idea to get at least some of it.
Even having just 1 rank of the Knockdown is useful because you can use it on Giants and such to prevent KS and get alot of EXP to yourself -- not to mention it cancels skills and prevents enemies from fighting in PvP and PvE alike.

Slight amendment, Wolves can still attack a knocked down monster also

And I've noticed that the thrown sword attack WILL bounce off nearby mobs and hit KD'd enemies. Not the most reliable method of hitting them, but it can be done.

some other aoe skills such as lightning nuke also target knocked down mobs and players as long as the kd mob or player isnt the main target and in range of the aoe effects

Really? I noticed that the fire 2 nuke did NOT affect the downed mobs, even if the shot went right over them. Although i guess that would overpower a Kd nuker just a bit

oow yes , there is more stuff a lightning nuke can do like killing cape fighters with protectors and lightning nuke
just remember , deploy protector next to guy you want dead and nuke the guy , not the protector 
anyway's , good way to get ppl to hate you to

I like the knock down skill. I usually just use it if I'm fighting a giant and a bunch of people that are higher level than me try to KS it. I hate going through fighting a giant half way down just to have others steal the kill and I get no credit for it and can't pick up any drops.
Although if I do get the drops myself, on rare occasions I'll just leave them for everyone else to grab after the timeout if I'm feeling generous.

love it when i kd crit a guy and then double stab him with the 25% & 50% down attack damage increase (bk1&2) AND a crit at the same time
