im a full str blader lvl3x,going to 40,im planning to turn my garment to protecter or amour, i need some advise first b4 i turn its

yes hello. I realize i am only lvl 29 (going on 30). I heard garment was best for bladers in pvp, but anyway, I like protector (with + and blue str increase). It's somewhat hard to find protectors like this, and a bit more expensive. But do some trade runs . Armor is goood for grinding, but protector with all these bonuses can be just as good. Plus buying protector elixirs is pretty affordable, and gets you an extra + . But don't do two elixirs in a row, you might take away all the pluses, but im pretty sure you already knew that.

My Reccomendation. GOOD PROTECTORS!!!

plus , like garments, yet unlike armor, you get an mp bonus of some sort if you have a full matching set of protectors. (Im not sure what bonus it is, im almost noob but not...It's hard to explain...Im a novice? lol)

I'm a pure str blader and I'm just wondering what made you want to change from garment in the first place?

Garment didn't gv a nice defence power and.....its expensive more than
protecter and amour

your shield should cover the lacking defence with garment

+ as your a pure str blader, unless u got a good mp + set, your gonna use up all your mp pots in no time

stick with garments ... 20% less consumption mp... you need all the mp u can get

it's expensive cuz it's considered to be better armor set due to -20% consumption mp and +20% speed (not sure if it 20% in speed)

for the lake of defence... there r few ways to fix it, w/o giving up the above 2 really good bonus of garm,
1. u can try farm some sp and learn def fuff from ice skill tree, passive+guard at the end will give u +55+42=+97 defence points!!!
(other skill trees also have sub helpers... learn them based on which mastery u r going after)
2. alchemy, enhance flesh/training/mind/prayer onto ur equipment, which ever one u r trying to prevent is up to u

Im 37full str blader,and using protector, i do very well. find protector parts with int on it, and you will have about the same magical defense as a garment user without int.

But yeh, I would probably use way less mp pots with garments haha. and have it easier when chasing people who try to take my goods.

I will have a garment set from 8th degree when I finally get there.
Dunno if I will switch before that.

My advice, just go with what you feel is the best, if you feel your mp usages is very small, try protector. If you still think its ok, stick with protector, else change to garment again next degree.

Protector suits are oh so much better...I guess the song was about me.

The great problem is - garment and protectors are ugly. Wearing armor gives a false sense of imponence ;D

Garment makes my character look like a sissy. Protector is better but armour is way too cool. Yeah...the look is cool but with a lower quality of bonus

garmet is hot...

IMO its the best OVERALL looking sets in the game...

BUT

the 5th degree protector set is my favorite equip in the game...

Nah I was protector till 30, and from 30-38 I was garment. Switched back when I was finally done with the stupid earth Taoists.

Protector is the lesser of the two evils. And remember, you can always switch. I mean, males look like stupid cucumbers at 8th degree...do you really want to look THAT gay (and I am not talking about homosexuality)
