Well, I read through the forums and stuff before I started this char, about how to make a nuker (because I thought using all those skills would be cool), and started a new character, called Procerus.
He is now level 12, has 333 sp (lol, 3 3s), has heuskal and bicheon to level 5, and has all cold/fire/light/force leveled to level 5 too. He has been pure int so far. I have been sp farming since level 5
What I have always wanted in Silkroad is to reach level 20, and have some fun doing jobs of all sorts, and especially joining a hunter/trader guild and playing together with good friends.
Now, from what I have read in the forums. Nukers seem to suck at PvP. They usually get owned by pure str glavies or bladers, they get owned by some hybrids and it's luck with nukers of your own level. Plus, you don't really get "nuking" till level 30, when you get your nukes, and after you sp farm like a little f*ck.
I'd like to know if this is the right char type for me. Will I be able to kill thieves attacking my trading caravan? Will I be able to kill thieves well? Will I be able to own traders and hunters if I am the thief? Will I be able to do this all if I am a nuker?
Will I also do well against monsters (so far I haven't been doing bad...even without any nukes and just the basic level 5 fire imbue)?
I don't want a lame half-ass character who can't do shit, and I'm willing to work reasonably hard to get my character rolling. The other thing is, I'm not too great of a fan of SP farming, but if I have to do it, I'll do it. I want to know (if nuking is the right thing for me), how many SP points is the BARE minimum I'll need to be a good fighter?
Thanks for reading through this long post. I look forward to reading your suggestions/ideas/opinions/feelings/rants/flames.
Am I going the right way?

You will do well against monsters, although it will be hard at first. Giants will piss you off too. You will be able to kill NPC thieves, but player thieves depend, stay away from 2 stars for a long time either way. I'd suggest SP farming, 15K or so at least. I also suggest not leveling cold up, just fire/light/blade, and it would be best to go with bow as a nuke. They don't get to you fast, and you get lots of imbue shots.

Lol, use a bow for a nuker??
If i were you, id just get your sword lvl 21 (KD and stab). Then raise Ice, Lightning, and fire. Your main source of damage will come for your nukes, theres no need to raise your weapon. You can if you choose though.
Ice: Ice Buffs, and passive.
Fire: Fire buff,Shield Buff(forget what its called) nuke
Lightning: Grasswalk, Concentration?? Piercing Force Series, Nuke.
Another way to go, would use a spear, you could use the passive for more HP, which would be very important for a nuker. But, IMO a shield with a nice BR would work just fine.

I'm a bow, enemies my level can barely scratch me, but that's more pure str related.
