Or is the damage from weapon imbues based purely on the imbue level and your magic balance?

Ofcourse imbue damage is increased by magical attack power and magical balance. Since it’s a magical attack. So the magical attack of your weapon does affect your imbue damage. Don’t know if it’s by a fixed percentage, increased by the level or not.

Here’s a topic going into imbue a bit further:

I asked if magic atk and reinforce on a weapon affect your damage you get with imbues alone. I know balance affects it, but magic atk and reinforce on lets say, a bow?

If I do a normal unimbued shot, obviously only the phy atk will be factored into damage calculation. Similarly, if I use a phy atk skill like Anti-devil, only phy atk is used since the skill description shows (phy atk (200%)). Imbues, on the other hand, show a flat damage rate on their description. I was wondering if this meant that they do not use the magic atk values on the weapons and just get their damage modified by the mag balance multiplier.

200% is not a damage modifier

its the speed modifier vs the damage of the skill the bigger the % the more damage but the slower the skill

go read the main site Q and A's ,

Weapon reinforce affect your damages too.
Defensive stuff reinforce affect the damage you take. (i.e. with same def in garment and in armor, you'll take more magical damages in armor and more physical one in garment)
