Hybrid out-damage pure STR with just weapon skills?

All of the hybrid build guides that I have read talk about using nukes and I guess I'm a little confused. If you roll anything but pure INT, you are sacrificing nuke damage for more HP and phys defense.

Does anyone have any experience with a purely weapon skill based hybrid? Disregarding defense for the moment, is it possible to achieve higher damage output with just weapon skills (heuksal specifically) than the pure strength equivalent? Can a hybrid spear out-damage a pure str glaive with weapon skills alone?

If so, what is the optimal Phys/Mag balance ratio to achieve this? There must be a point where the hybrid falls below the damage output of the pure str.

I leveled a blader to 70 at the 70 cap and had a lv 76 glaive during the 80 cap (both pure str). I love the weapon skills of both bicheon and heuksal, but would prefer to have more damage output for faster SP farming, unique hunting etc.

Full int will deliver the most damage either with nuke or weapon skills.
More int mean more damage.Reducing Int for Str will reduce the damage but still ALWAYS outdamage any Full STR build.(Unless Only 1 point put in INT,pointless since will the difference is little)

Requires an obscene amount of Alchemy, but yeah they can be quite devastating.

Can someone please explain to me what the 70/70 means? What is the str to int ratio?

I think it's 1:1 ratio, but I'm not sure. I think that build would be successful on lower caps.

The numbers come from the Physical and Magical Balance stats. So its 70% Phy, 70% Mag when your character doesn't have anything equipped or any buffs on. And it doesn't necessarily translate to 1:1 Str/Int ratio, I think you have to add more Int than Str to get 70/70. Sometimes you will also get 69/70 or 70/69 too.

Do you think i could be effective as a 70/70 hybrid bower with my wep and set?
I do well for the only decent bower on the server, just wondering if i should switch from pure strength and switch it up a little
any advice would be greatly appreciated

note that i have 2 legend 13d acc's +2 and 2 rings that are 12d legend +5
and i have a job set with decent blues and 120 job acc's which add like 3 absorption each
and 120 physical incantnation wep +3

set is 100% full blue
91k hp with +10 s grade devil
