How do you use the Soul Rebirth Art(Revive)?

My character is lvl 24 (and yes this is my first time playing which i guess makes me a noob) and I decided to get force as another skill tree and got Soul Rebirth Art(Revive) to help dead characters and my brother who kept dieing in the low levels since he wanted to try pure int, but ended up going hybrid. The only problem is, is that I dont know how to use it. I thought I just had to click on the dead character and use revive but it just keeps saying invalid target or something. I click EVERYWHERE around the character and nothing happens. Can someone please PLEASE tell me how to use it that way i can help other characters? Thank you.
