hi my friend is making a nuker and he was wondering if its worth putting points into crystal wall from the cold series...he though it would be a good move cause it will block for him while he uses a nuke....but my real question is does the crystal walll block magical damage aswell?? if anyone could asnwer this that would be great thanks...

The ice wall, like the fire wall, takes all damage until it is destroyed.

it blocks all dmg until it dies or runs out of mp. It's just that firewall is better for mag. dmg and crystal wall for phys. dmg.

In certain situations, yes. However, you are immobile with the wall up, and it takes time to cast, so it is not worth using in PvE. In PvP, it can keep you safe for a while, but unless you level the skill up, it can usually be dispatched quickly.

So it means with a fully lvled up ice wall, a nuker would be able to take 1 or even 2 hits from a glavie, granting him the time to cast 2 nukes (and kill the glavie-man) ?

A nuker can take a hit from a glaive even with the first ice wall anyway, but only in a single hit. For example, the first wall has 824 HP. If a glaiver hits once for 1k, the wall takes all the damage, and none of the extra is transferred to the person in the wall. However, the wall disappears because the attack was over the wall's HP.

But yes, a fully leveled ice wall would be able to take a few hits from a glaiver, allowing the nuker some safe time to cast. If I'm not mistaken, though, 2 nukes don't kill a glaiver at higher levels, because they can pot off some of the damage while the 2nd nuke charges up.

ive seen nuker fly with the last level ice wall...

it normally takes glaivers a SSS and ghost spear to take the wall down...

that is plenty of time for a nuker to kill a str user

takes way to long to cast if u ask me, not worth the sp in the long run. with a lvled ice wall a glaver is still going to knock it out....

That is if you can cast it in time :)
