I prefer hybrid fire/cold.

Had a 1:5 hybrid fire/cold build once, got it to like 70ish, was loads of fun soloing with it, and it wasn't so snow shield dependent.

I am full int and i let me wolf to take the hits.

As in I command my wolf to hit once first then followed by my skills. At most 2 hits from me and I wont receive any damage from white mobs.

full int light/cold or hybrid int fire with mix of light/cold

Pure int Fire 110 / 110 Heuksal 34 light / 76 cold

WTH? Why do you need light 34 lv?

cold nukes are fun in PvE.

I love AoE cold nukes .

For the magic damage buff + parry etc we've tested it allot and it seemed to be the best combination for us Together with prot

I always wanted to build a Lightning/Cold nuker, but I dont have much time to be online.

You have enough phy defence and snow shield % with 76 cold?

With a Decent prot set yes plenty

To me it seems more logical to pick Lightning instead of Fire, but I don't have any experience with chinese nukers.

So I ask: Why Fire? How does Fire benefit a full int or a hybrid int nuker?

1. A wider spectrum of nukes.
2. The ability to be immune to most common status'.
3. Firewall.
4. More Mag defence.

And the damage difference between fire and light isn't much. Since fire's imbues and most of it's nukes hit harder than lightning's do.

What I make of this is that Fire is better for a PvP oriented nuker and Lightning is better for PvE, because:

1. A wider spectrum of nukes.
- If I can kill a monster in two nukes, why do I need to have more?

2. The ability to be immune to most common status'.
- I guess most of the time the monsters would die before they get to hit me. Or, I just buy more pills.

3. Firewall.
- Not really useful in PvE, except maybe for uniques.

4. More Mag defence.
- I doubt I'd need it, especially if I wear garment.

Am I right?

In FGW bleed, weakness, impotent and stuff like that can kill you very fast.Also, a lot of ppl die because of zombie. But all you need is a cleric in a party.

Yes. Fire is better for pvp nukers, and light for pve nukers.

But since PvP is basically the main focal point of sro, why would you not want to be good at PvP?

Yea, both fire/cold and light/cold are good for S/S nuker. If you still can't decide, flip the coin.

There is one more build for nuker - fire/light. It is pure pve and is probably the fastest lvling char, but he will die in a party and can't be used in pvp for no snow shield. That's why this char is not recommended. But if all you want is fast lv up, this char is perfect.

i used to have this build back in the 07 days. This used to be the preferred build over cold/light and cold/fire. i remember dieing alot in pve, so a good armored set is recommended.
