I recently made a Chinese pure str bow character however the guides i have seen show that they are more of a PvP character than a PvE one. I mainly wanna focus on PvE and im wondering if theyre still good for that and which forces i should get for it.

They are good for everyhing. I recommend patcheon,fire,lightning(cold for extra defense, but i dont think you need it)

pach/fire 110
cold/light 56/54
wear robes

why lighting? It only increases mag. dmg.(full str chars don't need it), speed (buy speed drugs) and parry. So people should take lighting just to get 1 skill?

You listed 3 skills i think...

drugs cost money and you can change the masteries later on if you really feel you need more phy def...

Pach/Fire/Cold will be awesome.

I am also having problem deciding between upgrading ice or lighting. Despite that fact of having max ice is an awesome new trend that guarantee survival, i just love using ghost walk so much for general tactic and time saving. Should i have ligthing80/ice30 or full ice?

I prefer to max 3 mastery instead of having a hybrid style..

Lightning for more offense or ice for more defense. =)

no it isnt, at lvl 80 the dmg effect of light buff is barely noticeable(tested on pure str blade) and pure str bow does not hit fast enough for that small dmg boost to make a big difference. Ofc at cap dmg buff might be better but i doubt it.

Isnt higher parry ratio let you do your maximum damage more often?

No , That is hit rate .


Parry ratio makes the attacker makes his minimum damage on you more often (or close to the minimum) .

Exactly, imo take light only if you want the speed or if you want to go hybrid. I suggested that build bcoz it gives a balance of phy def and parry, with a prot set with decent whites you can have more or less a good amount of def. Not to mention the speed buff+lower sp needs make it a much more cheaper and functional build
