Bloody Wolf & Demon Storm

I've ended up checking these forums and a few others for a definite answer but I'm still confused. If Wolf/Demon Storm doesn't benefit Heuskals, why is it in the tree? So, to get to the point, what does Wolf/Demon actually do and what are its benefits? I've looked at tons of guides, they all (I think) say the same thing - Don't get these skills, but I'm not sure why we're advised not to.

It is a mag block rate. When used it gives you a certain % of chance to block magical attacks. But since the other books give you a mag def increase for the full 15 secs it has more effect than a blockrate. And they share the same cooldown so using the 1st/3rd/5th is alot better ;]

Ah... It's a shame Demon and Snake Storm can't be used together then. Damn Joymax.
