Hey there...
I just came back to Sro... missing from 2007. A lot of things changed so my question is:
Is it still good to level up a bit, then delevel and go farming Bandits like crazy?
It's what I'm going to do in fact.
Or are there other better ways or places or levels to do that?
(I see powerleveling now is not only normal, but also a kind of business but... I don't think I can rely on that).

My aim is to arrive at least at lvl 60 ff to begin enjoying the jobs...

no it is boring here my suggestion: never farm before you reach cap, start farming when you have reached cap and do it with a 9 gap

My doubt is... I always enjoyed the jobs, and to have the least possibility in PvP with levels a bit higher you NEED to have a good equipement and Full Farmed.
All of this only comes by farming (the more you farm, the more you get gold and drops).
I wouldn't like being frustrated at lvl 60-ish owned in PvP...

So... I know it's boring, the question is if Bandits are still one of the best respawn points, or there are better ones now (from here to lvl 110 of course. I can also think about 3 steps in farming... let's say, lvl 16, lvl 60, lvl 110).

Since the cap is 110, you will still be frustrated in pvp.

A lot of people get their farming done at ongs now. As in, the ongs south of samarkand.

Sure... but at lvl 60 you can begin playing fair game, while at lvl 24 you get pwned by everybody...

hate to break it to you, I'm nearing 95 and i still get pwned fairly often... Silkroad is a much different game than it used to be..

you really think that you will pvp at lvl 60? No matter how farmed you are you will lose

I mean that you can begin enjoying jobs... from my past experience the amusement begun from lvl 60.
Now things have changed but, still, it seems that you have many chars around that level, which means you can enjoy job fights.
Of course, since cap is 110 you can lose badly against many higher levels, but... the beauty of the game is not reaching lvl 110 and then PvP, that is only for kiddies. We see no sense in this.
(in spite of the fact that most people actually behave like that... but confrontation at similar levels is way more interesting than reaching "immediately" lvl 110 and then PvP. The difference will be how much gold you have. And since a lot of people buy gold...)

Hmm jobbing at level 60? you would have to do the same thing a level 20 guy does. Hope no1 higher than you is online and jobbing(no joke) or you could be the trader with some high level hunter watching your back.

And yeah now its just faster to go to free ongs with no skills ang get plvl to ~15 lvl. I'm now only leveling with 2 trees on my new char(lvl 16)

Dont expect to pvp / job before 100.

Guys, as I already said, I totally disagree with your point of view.
The goal of the game is NOT reaching lvl 100+ as fast as possible without doing nothing but grinding. You can enjoy the different degrees, go for a job with higher lvl friends, or even alone... I can assure that is way more challenging at lower level.
I know most people do the opposite of what I wrote, but IMHO it's a kiddish attitude and they are losing some nice parts of the game.

BTW, when cap was 80 (or 90) I had a char that never reached lvl 52, and was thief lvl 4.
So exciting...

Hm, if you are planning to make an european character, i'd suggest to gather some friends and play together in pts with them. You could easily farm a few SP at Sungsungs (good respawn--> fast kilrate), then continue on penons and power earth ghosts in cave. With good pts it's quite easy to get until lv.60 FF for most of the builds.

If you are chinese, i'd suggest farming in cave too, if they aren't filled with powerlevels (on my server there aren't that many powerlevels at cave). A chinese int character should be able to farm quite good at Nachals with a lv.64 SOX weapon. With a str character, you should probably rather go for Power Earth Ghosts or some other monsters with physical attacks.

I agree with all of those and kudos to reaching lvl 4 thief(hope you didn't go rape lowbie lvl 1 trader newbs to do it with the old mob/annoyance trick)

I just wanted to point out that level 60 "these" days is mid level at best and your chances of soloing and surviving an encounter with anyone above level 80 is a bit too slim these days, not without any help. Ofc you can still trade 5* i know ppl that do it with people hunting in ranges of lvl 60-80 but they usually pick a time of day when thief activity is low to do it.

Arriving at lvl 60 FF is easier for an European IMHO, but anyway with a small gap (like 3) you can do it. I already have enough SP to arrive at lvl 60 FF.
The problem is having enough SP not to suffer from lvl 60 on...
Penon is usually quite crowded.
Anyway all your suggestions are great, since as I said I'll make another pause for SP-farming.
I mean, I like SP-farming but i'd also like to enjoy the game a bit ^^
And at lvl 60 apart from the Jobs you can begin enjoing CTF, Arena and all this stuff.

I think I'll go gap 0 until lvl around 45, then stop the masteries to arrive at lvl 54 with gap 9. So I can profit by 2 or 3 levels farming at penons.
Then raise masteries up to 53, and go farming in the Caves at lvl 64.


By the way...
is it legal/accepted by Joymax all the Taxi/Powerlevel stuff?
The best is be getting exp by some guild mate, which is free, and no risk.
I mean the one you find a party and pay some gold to stay in a party and get exp.
(surely not talking about illegal sites that do that for real money).

a person plvling you is completely legal, if they bot during it, they have chance of being banned, but not you.

Well in case they bot they have the chance of being banned anyway I think, not related to the plvling.
I had the doubt because the word "powerlevel" is censored in the chat.

My advice is:

if you can afford pwrlvling. Go to ongs and farm 500k-1m sp on them
It should be enough for lvl 90 fufa.
After that try to get into a alexandria party and you can easily get fufa on killing mobs there.

if you can not afford pwrlvl, try to get to level 68 as soon as possible. And farm sp with a decent gap on Nachals in dw cave. They are easiest to farm a lot of sp.
And make yourself ff 90 or higher.

Any char above 90 can get a decent 100 pt or better. Besides when you reach 100 you will never need to farm again. Cuz Deity fcking rulez

Cali's way works, ofc, getting ppl to pt with you etc etc, but if you cant, then go ongs, for as long as possible, farm at nachals a bit, then low gap or even 0 gap to 95+.

Or if you think you'll ever hit 105. A good jobcave party gives me 5k sp / day (week) and ~10k/day (Weekend)
