Warlock/Cleric Help~
Warlock/Cleric Help~
I need help with this one...
So, I'm gonna be a noob. I don't have friends that can Pfarm me. I won't have money and yeah... just a complete noob.
I'm wondering if pfarming in the beginning is necessary? Coz i won't be able to do that right now.
Can you please help me on how I should start out with this character?

Re: Warlock/Cleric Help~
looking at the required 4m sp for 110
at least 2.5m are sort of a must lol
without powerfarming you will need about a 6 gap even by only taking the essential skills
for basics,
with cleric you'll need
bless spell, holyword/spell, rec. div.,
with warlock
at least 2 damage overtime attacks (decay and curse breath are really good)
vampire kiss/touch
and the blood flower mini nukes aoe and single target
for effects: weaken/division/impotent and stun+sleep
a farmed warlock is so close to a top class, assblasting ownage
that they had to make it the most sp eating class ever for it to have at least one downside

Oh my well that's a pain...
Wow... is there like a way where I can lvl to sixty-something with a certain gap and farm from there?... like solo farm... or maybe even party farm?>

Re: Warlock/Cleric Help~
party is the easiest since you will be 2-4x faster,
only turks will decline a warlock from entering.
the best way to solo farm is about the lvl you said:
get to 60 with a 3/4 gap and farm from 64-75 in the caves at the nachals with skills at 60.
You'll have fluffy 1million sp thick cushion to get you to 10D without many problems, with 95 being the magical lvl where you can get to alexandria...
and lvl 100 the inception of the repeatable quests where you can farm again, but much MUCH quicker and start lvling additional pvp skills.
It took me 3 weeks and a few days to get to 8d with a warlock, partly in a party but the imminent exorbitant sp i had to farm made me farm an int bower instead ;3

Re: Warlock/Cleric Help~
I only got my Lock/Cleric up to 30s, but yea I remember looking at sp wise, it was gonna be ridiculous. It is an unbelievable class Id say to play, but it sure will be lots of farming

Well personally, I had fun by getting the right skills I needed, Its how you usually enjoy a build. You're basically in almost non stop zerk, ive gotten full zerk off a giant, and when you learn pvp its very fun. but however you want to do it and enjoy it, is the way to go. Just saying in general, its a great class/sub just expensive in SP

Re: Warlock/Cleric Help~
you'll get bored of the build after you realise the strategy against every non-cleric build is the same shit lol
stun -> disease -> debuff -> trap/sleep bug -> whack away
etc etc.
same cheese, same ol same ol

Well, if they're using that bug then forget it and don't play, because its boring besides that you'd be lame for using it. Hate when people make SRO vids of PvP, where they use the bug and beat people. What skill are you trying to show off?

exactly
but it's more fun to use the build in fort war.
1st opponent: trap/sleep bug + 2DOT
2nd opponent: stun,disease,debuff, DOT, kill
then back to the first if he's alive, if not, switch to cleric and aid others.
1vs1 is sort of pointless when you only need 3 skills to kill them

Re: Warlock/Cleric Help~
in FW you can forget about casting debuffs or trap/sleep since most ppl will have holy spell in their parties...unless you're up against noobs
and i've never come across any warlock who could win without trap/sleep
this includes youtube videos!
but yeah it's boring even IF you dont use trap/sleep since you know it's going to be the same shit anyways...
ie. disease -> stun -> dot + debuff away -> stun -> nuke -> stun -> nuke -> trap goes off = GG
i dont see the fun part

Re: Warlock/Cleric Help~
Well, it's at least in my opinion really great fun to play as warlock in a nice pt. I wouldn't pick a build just because it's good for PVP, that's really lame actually. I usually take those builds, which are usefull in pts and are a lot fun to play. As warlock you are busy almost all the time, but it's really worth it, as you improve the damage and the grinding speed of the pt quite a lot. Definitely one of the most challenging builds in euro-pt-play. That actually is, what makes that build so interesting for me.
And in my opinion you should definitely get more skills than mentioned above. I know it's hard to farm the SP, but if you don't want to farm, Warlock/Cleric is definitely not the right class for you. I had several Warlock/Clerics already and i farmed the required SP by hand. In a good pt SP-farming is usually going quite fast.

Re: Warlock/Cleric Help~
well u can 4-5 gap upto the 30's with a lock using some select skills. I would advise u to try to party up after that on a 7-9 gap(if u can find pt's) on some higher lvl mobs to stock up on sp.

Skills:
WARLOCK:-
Get only 3 dot's( u can work with 2 but 3 is better for grinding)
Get 2 aoe dot's for partying
get hp absorb and nuke skills also trap
get the debuffs that reduce mag n phy damage and mag defense
get all interrupt skills(stun/sleep)
CLERIC:-
Heal cycle
Recovery division
Holy word
Bless spell
get the 1st ress skill but delvl it when u get the black ress skill(think its called obalation or smthng)
group ress(good in ctf)
If u play as the cleric in a party throw in:
recovery
grp recovery
that insta-cast skill that heals 2 targets with low hp.
And ofc all supporting passive skills
IMO these are the MUST-HAVE skills u can farm for other stuff l8r

Re: Warlock/Cleric Help~
I skilled like that on my warlocks, but maybe you should modify it a little for your personal needs.
Warlock:
All passives
Dark Mentalist:
2 single target DOTs maxed (Decayed and Curse Breath, as they have the best effects)
All 4 AoE-DOTs for pting (pt will be really glad, when you cast AoE-Dots almost all the time)
At earlier levels you should get more single target DOTs to compensate for the lack of AoE-DOTs. Until Lv.50 i'd say 2 maxed DOTs and just keeping the other 2 a little lower. I just stopped upgrading Blaze, when i got Decayed, but i was still using Blaze occasionally. Same thing with Toxin and Curse Breath.
Side Note: I was rather pting than soloing, that's the reason, why i rather focused on AoE-Dots. For soloing you should rather focus on single target DOTs (probably 3 maxed single target DOTs and just 2 AoE-DOTs)
Raze:
All debuffs except Physical Raze/Ravage (it's only needed for STR)
Blood:
Both nukes, trap (idk, if you need both, as i never got higher than lv.72)
Soul Pressure:
Stun and AoE stun
Cruel Spell Series:
everything
Dim Haze:
Sleep and AoE-Sleep, Wheel/Recovery Bind optional (if you want to PVP)
Cleric:
Cardinal Praise: Reverse, Grad Reverse, Innocent (later Integrity)
Mental Culture: Faith (needed for other skills)
Recovery: I'd recommend getting all heals. They are all usefull in certain situations. But it depends a lot, if you want to be able to play cleric in pt too or not.
Blessed Recovery: get all these skills, be carefull with Group Recovery and Recovery though, they'll get you a lot aggro, which is not necessary in most cases
Ressurection: get all skills, they are all usefull
Glory: only the first passive, if you use robe, all 3, if you use Light Armor, which i would recommend
Saint Prayer: Holy Word (later on you can replace it with Holy Spell
Blessing: get all buffs
That was basically, how i skilled my warlock/cleric and i was quite succesfull in both pting and pvping, but i didn't really like solo-grinding on it, as it's just too boring for me. It's definitely not the most SP saving way, but it's a good compromise between saving SP and having a strong and usefull character in almost all situations.
If there aren't any pts on your server, you can easily save quite a lot SP by skipping the skills, which are only needed for pts, but i'd say it's not worth staying on that server then and putting so much effort in a european character, as they are actually meant to be played in pts.
Just follow aishsharma advice, if there are little or no pts and just throw in Reflect and Shadow Armor at warlock. They are quite usefull in soloing too.

Re: Warlock/Cleric Help~
Agree with Kronos i didnt find good pt's, so i was more of a soloist(long live rock songs!!!) with some occasional parties.
I forgot about reflect, get it its a gr8 skill but maybe skip off shadow armor, i personally feel its more of a pvp skill, but thats upto u.
