Hey guys, first of all I came back from a 2 year "break" from silkroad and I own in parties and am used to 1H but i'm considering the change because when I get to a higher level PVPing is the funner part, but is it too late?

I have to farm a shit load of curst hearts, delvl all of my 1H warrior skills.
I need some inspiration/motivation. Why prefer 2H over 1H in the later levels? What are the pros/cons? Seems like 1H is only good in luring/tanking/saving fuckers in parties/partying which I'm pro at. I don't want to live off parties in this game though... and I wonder if 2H can still do a good job in tanking in parties? Can 1H still own in PVP if played correctly? I play 1H correctly and am satisfied with him atm but what I'm wondering is if 2H would be better overall.

Motivate me please before I get higher lol, I got premium and am leveling fast in my standards. I came back to SRO @ lvl 43 last week and a half and am lvl 60 atm.

either you don't wanna really party play and could as well go rogue for awesome solo
or you want to take a different role in the pt(killer) and solo quicker than 1h

1h deals more damage than a blader but would need at least axes to be good at pvp (bleed/stun)
of course you can go 1h for pvp but it lacks damage compared to 2h, which can throw incredible crits

1h you can block and deal less damage
2h you can't block and deal more damage

the higher damage will let you kill alot easier-> lvl quicker and make you more dangerous

Good information. Damn... you just made 1H sound fun in PVP. Pulling out dual axes to combo with 1H skills sounds really badass. It seems like a 1 on 1 thing though. I have fun in both 1v1 and 2v2+/FW but I am looking for more of PVPer that does good in a 2v2+ or guild vs guild wars. I'm the type that just goes in and "TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAAAAAMMMM!!!". But seriously though, the knockdown seems nice, which 1H doesn't have.

All in all though, I like being "dangerous" in PVP... so 2H warrior will probably win it for me. Fuuck... I also like being unique and make everyone have the "wtf is he?" reaction though (1H + dual axe combos).

Fuuck it, i'm asking for too much, 2H warrior it is. Only because I don't need to find myself an extra dual axe and level extra skills lol, time to switch my playing style when I switch =(

Yeah, i'm in a share party. I've only grinded solo like twice and i've only gotten like 30% in each of those 8 hours. I solo grind to find equips mostly though.

2h is basically:
healing cycle with cleric, change to 2h
sprint assault-> dare devil
if it doesn't end there
turn rising-> triple swing
and repeat if the opponent is not dead yet

there's not much more to it than to keep your hp in check while waiting for a crit.
(but 1hitting full str people is amusing)


with 1h you can deal many consecutive stabs - a few of which might crit in the process-
without having to worry much about dying (except for int chinese opponents),

shield trash easily gets you the needed moment to heal yourself to carry on.
axes are just there to amplify the damage with bleed or stun

Axes have stun and knockback
2h has stun,kd and knockback

you can see why most people take 2h

1h with damage multipliers is harder to beat than 2h because of high offense and defence,
but you need multipliers to begin with

i've seen a few full axe cleric guys, a few 1h who switched to 2h later...

but i haven't seen many get past lvl 90 and stay unique..

relying on warrior skins, stun, kb, kd is all they need
at least 2 weapons as well of course(except for kunichyua, he's crazy)

but yes, in a guild/fort war they are too unique to be of much use

get yourself enough people to kill and 2h will never become boring lol
it is always satisfying to look back at a group of corpses at about your level and be able to say: "my bad"

I am level 63 2h warrior now and i think its awesome. You realy dont need the blocking, even not in party because with healing cycle and if necessairy iron skin or mana skin you can take a lot of blows. At this level i don't have daredevil but maddening is sort of the same and it hits massive.

When i get in trouble taking on party mob i use knock down or knock back to save me some seconds for new pot.

So if you ask me, join the 2h team it's just great, tanking AND dealing massive damage.

I think I am going to switch when I get to 64, which I already have my 2H weapon for. I think I need like a total of about 500-800 curst hearts though and I have 300 :o lol

Damn, the new lvl 60 shield thrash skill is friggin fun though. And, I'll miss abusing howling shout + taunting target 24/7 with my shield

lvl 64 atm. Just switched to 2H.
One hitting Edimmu's and Shakrams are just, wow. And I thought my 1H warrior was a fast killer at soloing, lol.

u dont need 1H skills to be a tanker in a PT ( but u need 1H/shield), tanking in a PT is just taunting mobs, sprint assault to save INTs, and skins if overlure, maybe STR cleric, lurer (rogue is better) and just buffing the INTs with PQ, Protect, etc etc. just taunt and use the Normal Attack, and use the lvl 60 taunt too, u dont need to use the 1H skills in a PT.

-Good for pvp, but i think for a GOOD warrior, you need 1H, 2H, and axes.

Axes-stun and bleed, finish with 2H, and if needed, go 1H for defence if ur having a tough time

Warrior/cleric is so boring, i preferf warrior/warlock, a lot more entertaining, especially at low lvls, u PWN anyone lol

IMO, Stop lvling 1H skills for now, just 2H, and then farm at higher lvl, you will PROBABLY get 1H skills later on anyway (like 99% of warriors, if not 100%) so its pointless to dlvl, waste money on it, and 20% of the sp...

Alright, it's been exactly 1 month since I made this thread and I am kind of satisfied. I am underfarmed now though atm which will be taken care of at 100 @ job temple.

But once your there you get lot of sp in a short time.
I was there some days ago for the first time with my warlock cleric, got 3 Quests for the same mobs (those were 108 at the thief entry), which gave all 700 sp and good exp. I am not that fast at killing with warlock cause they were lvl 108, needed 1 dot, 2 debuffs, 1 blood flower and 2 secs to kill them, then get next mob or doing aoe all the time on up to 3 mobs ( i have a son wl rod btw).
Bad thing they did knock back all the time (wasted lot of skills then, 2times bless at giant ).
But ya, good sp in a short time (plus if your going there with a party you can kill them even faster, cause one quest is just hunting), and ya thats just the first 3 quests.

But now at 100+ you could do all other alexandria quests, which also give very good xp. While your grinding you could do those deity quests at mobs on your same lvl (they dont give mass exp but good extra one). Other quests which you cant repeat give better xp, i remember doing some quests in only an half hr which gave like 4 or 6% later (which is some hrs grinding).

edit: And dont forget to go beginner/intermediate/advanced dungeon once your able to. Good xp there due to uniques too (if you have a nice pt).
