Well i've had an old friend ask me
which EURO character would be quickest to get into a high enough level to kill hun's efficiently?
lvling speed and sp/gap wise
with these conditions:

• No previous farming -> gapping
• Powerleveling omitted
• till the character has at least 1 attack that can kill pt monsters 1 hit
• OVerall set about +2/+3
• no prem

he is starting over on rsro and wants to farm as quickly as possible on his own




i've had the opportunity to play 3 of the poll-listed builds
however, i only partially lvled them,
wiz/bard till 68
and wiz/cleric till 64
the rogue/bard till 76

from what i have experienced, both wiz builds die annoyingly quickly when confronted with giants
Even the cleric one tends to take critical hits seriously.
The upside is that they kill extremely quickly.

Rogue/Bard is the happy maverick with which i've had alot of solo fun,
doesn't die unless ganged and kills quickly, even though not as quickly as the wizzys.


my problem is, i cannot answer his question with PARTIAL experience ,since:

• it was only a few levels
• they had enough sp for me to 0 gap
• they had sets about +4/5
• suits as well

so i'm asking from someone wh has actually taken the time to lvl such a character for this purpose

Q: why huns when you have ongs?
A: because ongs are mostly occupied and huns are totally empty
Huns are his 2nd choice if he cannot find a good ong spot.

Q:why euro only?
A:he is a sucker for them

Wiz/bard will be the fastest to get up to around 64-70. I'm pretty sure you can 1hit party mobs at 64 with LC if you have a decent +3-5 staff and some int perhaps on your items.

The lvling part might be a bit hard but you just have to pay attention, stick to single fire nukes (Fire bolt/Ice bolt/Frozen spear) so you won't drag too many mobs to you. As for giants, stay out of their way is the easiest way or just find mobs which don't spawn giants (there are a few around the sro world).

lvl 64 wizzy meteor and earth shock deal 23-25k damage on party assault lancer with a +5 staff and 12 int +
(old alch system)
they have 24k life
a suit for additional 5% damage and some attack rating costs about 60-140m on rsro..
i am pretty sure it would be easier to get to 68 instead.

fire bolt might be enough as well, but i doubt it will be that quick with only fire bolt + frozen spear.
if wiz he is thinking of taking earth shock as well for an Aoe since the area he will be in has 3 spawn points.
Means sp again...
so

Either slower kills for faster lvling--smaller gap
or
Faster kills for slower lvling--bigger gap

till lvl 16 it is easy
then
lvl 19 - chakji workers
lvl 24 - hygno ghosts
lvl 33 - blood ongs
lvl 43 - maongs
lvl 46 - flowers
lvl 50 - ujigi
lvl 55 - penon warrior
lvl 57 - sonar
lvl 60 - evil yeti
(for lvl 68:a mix of karras and running for his life)
that is the safest way on paper, but the lvl differences + the not so good spawns of some monsters will cause a slower lvl up even with life control.
for rogue it is pretty easy taking on monsters their lvl or even up to 4 lvls higher after lvl 40.
And concerning effectiveness:
lvl 76 a rogue barely has to budge to snipe 4 spawnpoints with fast shot /distance shot.


even though rogues have to lvl an additional 8 lvls, i am still not sure who'll be quicker.

I would go for wiz, they are just the best plvlers at low level. Rogues only really shine when they can 1/2hit with their quickshots and same for bards, fast attacks but you gotta be 85+ with good harp/gear to 1hit pt ongs even.

Best would be either 68 or 72 then and just use fire bolt/frozen spear, and well if you can gap for a bit I would lvl that lvl 20 earth nuke too yeah.

Hun taxi? I think Rogue tbh. Bard offc. High lvl too.
Ongs on the otherhand, Wizard.

i accidently this thread.

9 day test completed:
I went rogue/bard on any monster group harmless enough to be killed en masse
-level goal for farming: 76 - 122,389sp needed - 1/2 gap
and he contended with a wiz/bard on non-giant spawners
-level goal for farming: 68 - 164,210 needed - 2 gap

winner was
rogue/bard ( lvl 54.5)

ungrateful second
wiz/bard (lvl 48.75)



juding by the progress, even with the extra levels left for the rogue to go, it seems to be a suprisingly good choice

(but seeing it from someone elses wiz lover point of view... with a +4 set at all times along with a full avatar suit the score could be even)

seems like a good idea, and ye i remembe rong plvl with a 90 rogue, he had a nice xbow, and with quickshots, it was amazing xp.....

and 1 question...u got to 54 with a rogue/bard in 9 days?> nice

wiz is 59 now,
rogue is 65

Fast lvling was due to
quests, pickup pets, low gap, free ongs till 22 , occasional (LUCKY)ctf which got us 5-10% per round.

and a lucky bonus due to event time of 30%+ for exp (not sure how long though but since we normally played at bonus exp time it was good enough)

i might even get myself a char farmed by him by the looks of this :-O
