Anyway I was thinking of making an Ice blader specifically for Hunting(job)

why? well bladers in general never die.

so an Ice blader with slows, CC(crowd Control)skills, and godly def buffs would ensure that neither me or anyone in my trading party gets killed as the thieves wont be able to really do much even if they have 100% cold resist and the largest pills.

so basically the thieves may attack but wont get anywhere with me as the hunter.

Thoughts on this? Improvements on this idea? Has this been done before? Id like to hear some pros about it, It just sounds really awesome on paper.

P.S. Ive never played as a blader before.

But still, you should go for it, i remmember back in the 04's, ice blader's was most common and probably the best build, but getting fire shield skills it farked up ice bladers...

I feel like the human thieves will just ignore your silly damage and go kill the trader. Heh. = p

But seriously, most people are immune at cap. And before then trading is useless. Granted, trading is dead already so you probably won't have to worry about thieves anyways. *cept the npc ones*.

Also, bladers don't have many CC skills tbh.

Now if you want to be a good pvper/hunter I say you go ice/fire. Epic def plus maximum damage = win.

ahh yeah I figured they would too but I assumed that Ice had a ton of cc skills but since no one uses all the ice nukes/skills/imbues(I sure havent) I figured there might be some useful combos around

but yeah I forgot about fire shield...damn I was just thinking of the alchemy and the pills, totally forgot about fs...

I was imagining being that kind of a hunter who keeps the human theives frozen.frostbitten/kd*d so much that they would never get to touch the trader, and the other peeps in the hunting team could easily take the theives out. It just sounded like fun being in that dmg support/cc role. But I guess jm kinda dropped the ball with that...*hhhhhhhh* ill go check out some more ice skills myself on nivlam or something, maybe ill try this build on that private server im messin around on.

I was tifing and my char is full int s/s lvl 98 protector with light(max)/fire(max/bitcheon(90)/cold 20(snow lvl 1 helps a lot!) and i killed a hunter glavier/ice/fire....piece of cake!

Ice imbue damage its so ridiculous! Make me laugh a lot!

To me the most balanced build for a full int is fire(max), light(max), cold( only lvl 20 to use snow shield lvl 1) and bitcheon lvl 90 with passive blocks.

chars full int with ice/light/bitcheon is fail! This build have excelent defense but when your snow over in a fight dont have a good damage because the fire imbue is much better and fire shield, nukes, earth fire protection rox against this builds wth ice/light/bitcheon.

Well glaivers attack slow as fk ya? So of course ice glaives would suck (believe me I played one back on Xian at 60when no one really knew anything...I know lol...I changed it to fire later on tho)
I was thinking that since the bladers chains hit a LOT more +ice imbue + ice freezing nukes and attacks, along with the def of the shild etc etc and the fact that str bladers never die as it is that it would be beast to tank and to keep th etheives away from the caravan long enough to get owned by other hunters without attacking lol or just keep constantly frozen frost bitten to the point where they can do nothing aginst the caravan.

I just that that would be pretty cool (no pun intended -.-)

Hehe, you should have read lol because Im not thinking about going against euros yet, I know that wouldn't work , im more talking about using and ice blader on a Chinese only p-server.

oh and maybe two hits for a wizard if the blader blocks ;p

yeah I know that, but the point really isnt to be a killer, but more of a CCer in hunting. ..well more than that, like a constant de-mobilizer, BUT I forgot that joymax doesn't really know how to balance skills leaving many of them useless. . .So its kinda hard to try something NEW when the devs themselves barely test out the skills/classes they put in the game

Dont let me get started on Euro. . .(yeah I love euro ...as its fun to level with but I agree with many ppl here on 1v1 pvp. . .however when it comes to group pvp like thieving and jobbing they are pretty fun and imo not overpowered there because it takes a LOT of effort to get a group together and work together in this game and really the euro/chn thing ends there as you could have great team work with all Chinese and wipe the floor with unprepared euro teams etc.

I have a question though, If the ice skills (the ones that freeze and imbue etc etc) are so thoroughly useless, why not just take them out of the game?

well, if its on p-server, then why not, but still a lot of ppl have full immunity

you probably never play large scale job war lvl 100+...u could be sun/son ice blader and euro thief pt will rape u 3x over. :S

ice = fail

bladers are great as thief's not hunter why? because if your a thief with a good set hunters will have a hard time killing you.. and it will be easy for you to kill the trans.. imagine comming every 10 min dropping a trans .. but keep dreaming isro is dead..

They are good, but if the were 'godly' and invincible, wouldn't most people use an ice blader? They have their pros and cons, I love em, but not everyone else does.

the only reason I didnt make an ice blader is cuz theyre like the slowest build to grind and the sp requirement is huuuuuuuge

even though it only takes like 1-2 seconds more to reach ur target(compared to a bow/nuker/xbow/etc) the time does add up, and its killer

I feel like the leveling would be SO slow, that you wouldn't make it. Bladers with fire imbues are still slow, just imagine ice. Also, low damage + high immunity doesn't make you much of a threat to a thief.

its like those blind wolverine things from resident evil 4, only weak spot is in the back, so u just go away from them / ignore them....thief sees u, oh sh**..goes after trader

Hopefully you aint talking about ZSZC. They got 99% stat reduce fire buff + no status effects on chains so you'd just be wasting people's time.
