Hey guys,

after a long retirement I decided to play Silkroad again.
but this time.. I can't decide which Character to choose.

My main is lv42 Nuker sword and it's pretty fun to play. too bad it is on Alexander. due too many botters there, it is just too boring to play there. (manualy ofcourse)

So my questions are:
*What is your favorite character to play with?
*why do you like it? (advantages and disadvantages)
*Which server would you recommand me? (Most legit players)

The characters I can't choose from are these:

Chinese
-S/S Nuker (love the AoE nukes which make exp grinding fun)
-Blader (Love the long PVP fights, I don't like 1 hit fights, it seriously
drives me nut when a Wizzard 1 hits me. and.. ofcourse the high HP and strong def.)
-Bow (Long range attack, deason damage, lovely skills)

European -Rogue/cleric (Very high damage, fun to hang out cleric in pt, altho it isn't
very usefull. grinding exp is pretty fun)

My favorite char is s/s nuker, the one you already have. my favorite builds is either bich/cold/lightning or full force cold/fire/light. If u like pvp i would recommand the 1st one. The other one is most for pve.

And go to Iris server, most legits there

Hmm yeah, I do like PVP. so S/S nuker. you think I should open AoE skills? later when I hit 50+
Not so much use with PVP I guess but a huge advantage with grinding exp.

And I heard my friend telling me Iris is most legit, but just wanted to be sure

My fave is bow, either fire/light/pach for speed and PvE or fire/force/pach or light/force/pach for PvP. Always liked the str hybrid bow too.

I'm also enjoying bard/cleric if you like Euro, decent PvE, not so much PvP, good party play with legits.

Iris or Venus for servers.

venus -1 venus died i think only higher lvl partys almost no one online hard to get party as a lvl 31

Bow is fun also, I had a chance to play on my friends 60 bow light/force. hella fun, many knockbacks and pretty high damage too. doesn't die too fast.

Bard/cleric not really my taste, I rather play Xbow/Dagger. ridiciliously high damage and love the stealth

But I know which server Im gonna choose, Iris for sure!

Altho I really want a chinese character.. I know chinese require alot of SP in order to have a
"powerfull" character. I guess it'll take AGES to farm sp. especially when im only 3 hours a day on. (during 2x exp, gold prem)or not?

How long will that take? FF to lv 80~

I like my Rogue / Warlock and Rogue / Cleric


Rogue / Warlock ~

A lot of interruptions (stuns, sleeps, etc), even higher damage than the average rogue (if w/e you're attacking isn't immune) ... one disadvantage is it's not immune

Rogue / Cleric ~

I like this for the group pvp (mainly ctf) ... I normally try to keep everyone in my pt alive / buffed (phy / mag def ...if I'm sticking to being cleric, than str to the rogues, bladers, glaivers, and warriors, ints to the ints) ...one disadvantage, if you don't have a lot of int on your gear, don't expect to spam heals much if you're FF w/o carrying some vigors w/ you ...lol

You sure about that? Bowers don't get Knockback until lvl 73...

Farming to 80 isn't too bad. Prob takes you a month by hand if you can powerlvl yourself at ongs. I know people that are farming for 120 cap. Getting 1m sp per month. Crazy stuff.

What the.. i really remember I did some knockbacks with a skill that shoots several arrows repeatly. srry idk which skill i never been bow =P

Good point, if I'd choose between these 2 Id definitly go for rogue / cleric. attacking the enemy and supporting your pt at the same time. perfect!

Rogues aren't much of a pt build. If you have friends they'll pt you. Strangers would rather have a wiz/cleric or wiz/bard or warrior/cleric. Rogue's xbow suck in pt since it kb and kd like crazy. Friends will still pt with you regardless, but finding a random pt to grind with is pretty hard.

If you were using kb with a bow, it had to be a 73+ character unless ur friend delvled it 13 lvls.

my fav would be Rouge/Cleric or Bard
having alot of hp and power are great

Also a very good point.. since non of my rl friends play mmorpg's I think i'd rather play a char that's flexible and good for every pt.
I really want a chinese bower/blader or maybe a nuker s/s
the only thing it stops from making these is the sp.. :S Idk how fast sp farming goes if you dont have a friend who helps you farming.. anyone any ideas on how fast sp farmin goes? Solo ofc.

Eh, rogues use their subs more than whatever other build in a lvling pt... Rogue / Cleric's are either str clerics (all the more easier w/ a bard replenishing your mana) or the lurer...though I mainly was cleric in the pts I was in, Rogue / Bard's simply are bards, and Rogue / Warlocks just lock (faster zerk gain / more damage to ptgs)

for pvp ... rogues are just fine, granted you got wizards or warlocks in your group ....a cleric sub's quite nice...just scorn the hell outta whoever's trying to kill the damage dealers and switch to cleric rod / shield to tank the hits ...

Yep, to make a long story short, Rogues are fun to play, are pretty good with PVP and are also good pt members. I think I'm going for Rogue/Cleric instead of SS nuker. too much SP needed ugh..

Now, if there is anyone who would love to give me start money lets say... 50 or 100k would be GREAT!
