i never seen any build mention this. maybe bcoz of limited sp allocation. but i see this skill good for pvp and hunt giant/unique/elite. can pill cancel the effect?

I use it on giants only; it's a quick animation (short interruption in the damage), and I can tell it really increases my damage quite a bit. During PvP, which I rarely do, I don't bother, since it can simply be clicked away.

Come on buddy. I tried it. It doesn't help that much. Just not worth spending SP on it except maybe 1 point. I just don't use it. Myabe cuz I have too many other skills. (Fire/Light/Cold)

I tried it in the days that I generally still needed 2 nukes to take out a black robber. If I use vital spot first however, I only needed 1 nuke and a lion shout. To me that's a pretty clear sign of the skill working.

so its better for PvE only....... hmmm...
