So, I have decided to get into the game again, and I'm starting new on Iris (because I hear a lot of you play there unless there is a better server please tell!).
Anyway, I was wondering if I should make a bower (110 pach/ 110 fire/ 90 light/ 20 ice) or a Rogue (bard or cleric?), and what are the reasons for chosing one or the other.

bow is an nice build its good in pve and good in pvp but it needs alot sp if you compare it to an rogue/... rogue/cleric is better for pvp and rogue/bard requires less sp and you can be bard in the pt so the choice is up to you i would say go for rogue/cleric its nice for leveling and you can cleric in partys and yes iris is an very nice server these days lots of legits there

i personally dont believe a rouge can be an effective cleric in pty's. i currently have a rouge/cleric and can say from exp that without a good bard to keep your mp up, your party will die a lot. you can do cleric buffs but just be aware that you will eat mp like a monster in ptys.

I haven't put any points in a second mastery yet, do you think bard would be a better choice? I was just worried that I wouldn't have recovery division and bless spell etc, but if I am going to be in parties as much as you are suggesting then bard sounds good.

if u wanna play to help ur party go rouge cleric if u wanna be a max damage dealer and play a solo part in ur party go bard noise so u doint get attackd helps

I want to be able to get into parties, but I also want to be able to survive when I am doing solo, so what would be the better choice here?
Would bard be worth missing recovery division? Because it seems it is the counter for having no pots.

I've str cleric'd in a lot of pts before, just need a bard that pay attentions and keeps the mana orbit on you 'n the ints ... gets hella easier 90+

but if they don't, yea...you're gonna run outta mp hella fast ...unless you collect mp grains just for said purpose

Either or's fine ...

rogue / cleric's nice if you're gonna str cleric, it's also really nice as a lurer

w/ RD and Group heals, you'll be able to hold aggro on you / heal yourself ...and being in a pt, your build's really not shackled down to stay as a main "role" in that pt ...

rogue / bard you can lure, but won't really be able to hold aggro as effectively...it's probably easier just to be a str bard in pts...

just need moving march, mana orbit, tambours, and dances

Either or do fine soloing, it's just that the cleric sub'll have an easier time tanking giants, etc than the bard sub

Saying that a rogue isn't good for party play is just plain naive, there is no better lure in the game known as sro than an xbow rogue using fast shot. I've seen some talented rogues luring over 15 mobs per time. Assuming you have the correct party makeup, a rouge would be a better option than say an extra wizard.

Ok, I am a lvl 4X rogue/warrior. I tank physicaly the best. (I lack magical def). BUT I can kill Giants 3 lvls higher. I can tank in pts. I kill and win nearly the best in my lvl in pvp.
It rocks. BUT I only lack the healing. So if you are going rogue. Then choose either Rogue/Cleric or Rogue/Warrior

Rogue all the way , nobody looks for chinese chars for party , 80 % of party mach are EURO ONLY .
