Re: Wizard/Bard or Wizard/Cleric
Not having too much experience with wizards, I will just say this is what I have read:
wiz/bard: more for solo, SP requirements a little less, only need march and noise - if you want more party play, get tambours and dances. Not as good for PvP.
wiz/cleric: better in PvP, no speed means you must buy scrolls or pots. Better in parties, and more survivability solo due to bless and recovery division.
What's better is what you choose based on your style of play.

Re: Wizard/Bard or Wizard/Cleric
Wiz/Cleric for pvp, fortress etc.
Wiz/Bard for uniques, money, faster lvling.
For parties it doesn't amtter. Wiz/cleric is same in a party as Wiz/bard.
Since a 'standart'-setup 8/8 party needs 1 cleric and 2 bards, bard would even be better for parties.
