Recently i have started a new pure STR bow character but i have a little trouble planning out when exactly i want to 9 gap with him.
What i do know is that i want to do it at the earliest level possible (lower then 30 preferably) since i enjoy a lot grinding around Donwhang and buying low level SoX equipment will be much more easier for me.
I have thought about starting as early as after getting my 2 Arrow Combo, but then i thought that having an AoE attack to pull monsters (Mind Bow) could greatly speed up the process. I've also thought about going all the way to lv 31 to get my Strong Bow.
Could anyone offer me some advice as to when i should start 9 gapping?

Also, when i do start to 9 gap, should i wear the general Garment armor, or go more towards armor that will protect me better against the monster types that i am currently fighting? (For example in the Huygno Ghost/Chakji/Earth Ghost zone wear Armour and then move to Garment for Devil Bugs/Earth Taoists?)

Hi, I also got and Pure Str Bow.
I farmed with it at lvl 16 with a 9 gap at the Bandits Archers / Bandits in the Bandit's Mountain Stronghold. I used protector and garment. I did protector first so they hit less. But Garment is good for less Mp consumption.
I did farm around 50k Sp there after moving up and lvling myself.
I also joined some Ong Taxi's till around 30 So I had a good amount of Sp. I was not enough for beiing FF or anything like that.
But beiing FF takes ages and just isn't worth it, just enjoy the game.

The only 2 skill you will really need for farming will be your anti-devil and imbue. that is really all. i tried using other skills to speed up the farming process but it either takes long to charge (mind bow, berserker and strong bow), or it just plain wastes your equip durability (combo). anti devil has a good crit rate and decent base damage. coupled with ice imbue you can kill pretty much anything before it reaches you, so all you have to bring in ur inventory is 100 hp pots (thats what i did all the way up till lv 30++), 4k arrows and the rest MP pots. i can spend a very long time grinding there.

i dun really like grinding at ongs since there're farmers everywhere ksing. and joining a taxi isnt as exciting as playing on ur own (i tried before. its kinda lame sitting on ur horse watching ur SP go up. unless its a pro-taxier then yea it may be better).
