Farming. I'm deciding whether or not to choose glavie again, or blade. A guy that wanted to trade his account for my bow, said that glavie is THE best build in the game. I never been a blade character before, so i guess its smart to go with what i know? Glavie or blade?

I think it's more a matter of personal preference than a question of which build is "better". I prefer Blade. Seems like most people prefer Glaive though for the high damage and faster lvling.

even though glavie does higher damage, doesnt the damage even out? 3 swings on a mob with blade when glavie does 1?

must say though, glaives and hybrid spears are the most versatile builds in the game IMHO.

There is a best build in this game... it's the one you are the most happy with. Still, it helps to know the strength and weeknesses of each. Bottom line is this -- glaive does high damage and has higher hp (because fo the passive for hueksal), and is the fastest lvling build out of the str builds. Blader does less damage, but, because of the shield, can tank better than the glaive user, and in general (not always) will rule in PvP, but they are also the slowest lvling build in the game. My experience with bladers -- If you fail to take out the blader in the first couple hits, you are dead meat.

The other thing you have to keep in mind, too, is that this game is very heavily based on level, not so much on build. The only way you can screw a character up, imo, is by wreaklessly building a hybrid (there is a wrong way and right way for making hybrids). Other than that, skills can be reallocated, plus equipment can be obtained or made, if that's what you need to do.

As long as you can play your build right, it dosent matter.

but back to topic, whats better for farming at low level?

i saw bow ^_^ a good bow though

as of this current moment, i'm thinking about going blade. For all you blade and shield users, does the cost of the shield in higher levels burn your pocket more? And for the Glavie users, does the price of the glavie offest the money you pay for a shield and sword?

well people say glaives are skyrocketing there prices. But anyways if its from the NPC then 1 glaive=the cost of blade and shield (well for lunar blades anyway)

I believe (experience and market / forum observation LOL!) bow is best in farming.

Experience: I tend to farm faster now compared to my 1st char, since I can "reach" mobs faster with a bow rather than "running" towards them. FYI, I'm not developing an archer (I'm a fire glaiver)... LOL! I only use bow +5 to draw monsters to me and 1-2 hit them with my glaive 16sos +3.

Market: Well a LVL16 SOS bow almost cost as much (sometimes more - depends on the "+") as a LVL24 blade / glaive - probably because 1) people experienced faster farming using a bow or 2) people "think" bows are better equipment used for farming LOL!

Hmm, I guess this depends on which server you are at and your preference... to my experience it costs more (not only gold-wise) to manage two items... buying an sos blade and sos shield compared to buying only 1 sos glaive... had trouble finding a great shield before... and man "great shields" (high blocks with +) almost cost as much as the sos blade / sword itself. LOL! although prices for glaives are rising... but it's still your preference

*cost more = too much thinking LOL! Searching for best weapon and best shield and running around town/s for them... LOL!

bottem line , there is no best build ,

how about a bow kitary ,let my explain its ...
bow is a far range weapon,its can hit a mob at a far range,and if bow user learn a harmony theraphy and got a sos bow,.....,its perfectly when u farming
into the harmony theraphy,nv got a mob will hit u then,n u can use ur sos bow killing without any hurt!!Did im wrong ,plz gv opinion if im wrong !!!
