Rogue/Cleric is good for soloing and PVP, but not Party play. Rouge/Warrior is good for all 3 of them.

I found rogue / cleric fine for 8/8 pts....
If you're the lurer, you can put on Recovery Division lure some mobs with xbow and hold aggro using group heals.... Cleric's aggro > Warrior's aggro
Or you could act purely as the cleric, though would really need a bard that's paying attention (pre-mana orbit)
I'd say they're practically equal, though the warrior / rogue is ...as some say ...more "safe" to pt with, granted they know how to keep aggro.

Lol what are you talking about? If a warrior spends atleast some attention to keep the aggro he over aggro's a cleric easily.
Seriously rogue/cleric is better in pvp. Rogue/warrior is alot better for getting euro parties. If you choose rogue/cleric you usually have to be a pure str cleric in most cases. There is a slight chance you can play as a rogue.

I'm talking about group heals from the cleric ....if you haven't noticed cleric w/o Protect from the warrior w/ Recovery Divison on spamming group heals sure as hell'll pull in more aggro than the warrior...
I know what I'm talking about, otherwise I wouldn't comment ^ ^
rogue / cleric works fine in 8/8 pts....I'll find the video from, think it was csro or ksro, to show you how it'll work on the part of a str cleric holding aggro...
EDIT: Here it is
Code: Select all
Yea, I know ...you could say ...well, make the rogue / cleric the str aggro holding cleric and have warriors lure....think it'd be better if the warrior / cleric'll play the role of their sub then the rogue goes to lure....since in that vid, the transfer of aggro is easier, since the chinese archer practically has no aggro holding, just like a rogue...
Of course, you could go 1 tank, 1 rogue, 1 str cleric, 3 wiz, 2 bards (though I'm speaking on terms w/ a rogue in the pt, you could do 2 tanks, 1 str cleric, etc, etc)
rogue constantly lures, tank makes sure no aggro transfers to the ints.....
a rogue / cleric can tank using their sub in LA just as fine as a warrior / cleric could...which is easier since a rogue has literally no shackle changing weapons (unless they're a bard sub) in a pt...they can lure, switch to cleric to heal when needed, and keep luring.

I played a warrior/cleric till lv 95 FF and I was str cleric quite some times. And believe me that if a warrior would try to out aggro a cleric he will. Ofcourse its really easy to let the cleric take aggro over the warrior if the warrior doesnt care about the aggro. But if you would make a aggro match the warrior would win easily. Now ofcourse I know that in some cases you can go with a rogue. In this pt judging form how it goes and the fact that you can only grind decent at penons from 40-50 I would say quite some members are really close to 50. Making it easier. There is nothing wrong with pointing out that rogue's can be usefull in party's. But overall you will be a str cleric and you will have a hard time getting party's as a lurer.
