a little nuker help
sorry if you've seen this question before but;
ok so right now i have a lvl 27 pure int bich/ice/light nuker which i will properly farm at lvl 42
so ive been hearing loads about how fire nukes are more damaging, have faster cast times(some1 plz confirm this) so im getting interested in this but i dont wanna lose phantom so im thinking of lowering my ice to get a bit of the phantom+speed, obviously i need to go hybrid...but how much since pure int at 100 without maxed snow is dead and what ratio of masteries with light/ice would be good?
or would going this be complete ruin for my and i should just stay pure int ice/light??
All help is apreciated,
Thx in advance pplz

Re: a little nuker help
I don't know, but I don't really notice a difference between the damage of a fire nuke and a light nuke. (im lv60 FF btw)
Fire nuke just looks better :p

Re: a little nuker help
i think the first fire nuke is the only fast one the rest is just the same cast time
maybe wrong but when i nuked with fire i did damage 5-8k damage on mobs
with a light nuke i did 6-7k damage. so i always thought that light was more accurate i guess
fire was a bit wild imo

lol shouldnt that be the other way around i mean light is famous for being a medium in dmg from low to high with uncertain hits

Re: a little nuker help
tested damage on a monster when i was lvl 91 with my friend who was a fire nuker lvl 90
both +4 s/s, i had about 110% mag. balance, he had something around 105%
i hit 17-20.5k he hit 16.5-22k
fire deals somewhat higher damage , but with an excellent attack rating, light does as well...
only problem is the range and the variety of nukes
(light only 1 up to date and a 2nd one to bridge attacking gaps, fire enough to nuke in an endless loop)

im thinking u mean using 2 light nukes? this wont be much of a concern since i will probbly farm all the cold nukes along with light if i go pure int ice/light
but that result is kinda sad if there isnt any damage difference then the only other reasons to go fire is mag def+immunity(inadequete for me really) so i guess i should stay with standard build.
btw are the sword dance/throw skills useful for a light nuker?

fire/light/ice. Best PvE build ever.(imo ;D)
Casting time is around the same, lv43 fire nuke has 6 second cooldown, lv56 fire nuke has 8 second cooldown and lightning nukes 6 seconds
EDIT: Fire nuke hits around 6.4-6.9k, lightning nuke around 7.6-7.9k ;D
my skills are only lv60 FF tho xD

i went pure int ice/light with a test char..
the ice nukes where not really necessary even though they were faster and had more range than light, the damage was low.
Spoiler!
i ended up taking light nukes only with shouts to bridge cooldown gaps or just to finish the mobs off.

well we tried to hit a unique (taking turns) hitting 20 times in a row
fire has 2 very strong nukes and 1 fast but weak nuke (which hit around 16.5-18k)
light cannot overpower the 2 strong ones without a maximal attack rating and a weapon at least two "+" higher than the fire users weapon
aishsharma wrote:btw are the sword dance/throw skills useful for a light nuker?
(very) slightly slower than shouts, but higher damage (with imbue of course)
and a chance to crit
( maybe +5-15% more damage then..as a full int)
blade force and sword dance are like strong mini nukes
(sword dance are the AoE mini n.'s)
all in all:
fast damage:
lion shout > sword dance/bicheon force
good damage and good attack speed
sword dance/bicheon force > lion shout
