poison/vein waepon

is it pointless to farm this skill?
i havnt been using it and i dont see it as being a big help when i did use it. i see no point in using it when i 2hit the mob or 1-3 hit the enemy in pvp/ctf
should i farm it or no?

It's not that big deal in pvp but it's wonderful to kill ctf monsters (especially when they're higher lvl, that extra damage helps a lot) and to ks giants/ party mobs, also helps.

I've never really needed it. So I stopped leveling it at lv40.

might be a waste of sp, idk & idc
it's fun to see the poison DoT ticking
it's satisfying to have that tiny bit of damage more
it's fun to see and know that it keeps ticking while you're doing something else than hitting the mob
i haven't done the math and i dont care
but i wouldnt be surprised if it was quite better damage than we imagine

think about it this way, it costs only sp... it adds no time to your attack routine.
so it is basically free damage.
i like poisoning from max range with rapid shot.
it fits daggers just as well : get close, poison, take a hike:)

of course if you start thinking of capping and how much sp-farming time this skill costs at cap... might as well start a new toon, they're funnier:)

my current build takes around 2M sp at cap and i dont get powerfarmed and rarely plvled... think i care?

The game is about having fun, poisoning is fun. Period.

with poison masteries maxed (dagger ones), vein weapons can reach 900-1k+ poison damage...now that ticks off at least once it procs.

the damage itself is anywhere between 5-10% of your skill damage be it a prick or normal attack etc. etc.

in the long run, it does help in pvp...pve is extremely useful vs giants and party mobs.

If you think this skill is a waste of SP then don't get it because there is an annoying bug associated to it : when you mash your keys like crazy you often get in a state where you can't attack the mob at all until you move you char to another spot then try to attack again.
It happens with the poison skill, when combining it with an attack a bit too rapidly and on a certain timing.
I haven't tested it out to describe its occurence-conditions better but it sure as hell is annoying.
Another note : an interesting property of poison is that its damage is independent from the mob's resistances. A mob my lvl will get as much damage as a mangyang. A mob way above my lvl which i'd be nearly unable to damage with normal attacks will get its full poison DoT damage.

meh in pvp poison is just pilled off
and pve i just 1-2 hit the mob. i dont even have a chance to really use it

fire/posion status is best vs pt/pt champ/giant/pt giants

normal and champs are too weak.

even as an optional skill i always take it...
though i dont take the (venom/posion) extensions.. 6 seconds are enough for me to poison an enemy.

how much damage per second does poision at lvl 90 make?if its maxed and with the damage increase passive

I have vein weapon at lvl 1 just for fun since I don't use it that much.
Also, everyone will pill it off at pvp.
Didn't lvl the passives either.

at lv 90 it does around 750-900~
at lv 100 im guessing it will do about 1.1-1.3k~

and ppl who think that poison is a waste since it can be pilled off in pvp, think about this:

for euros: 96 and 100 skills have an estimate damage difference of about 13-15% increase.

take that to perspective, say you have a rogue skill doing about 10-15k...now with poison proc just once - u are doing extra near ~10% more damage. That's nearly the same as having a 5% boost in your attacks every now and then...and this will give you an edge in pvp so why wouldnt you wanna invest in poison. 8)

that stuck thing is a bug due to the range of the daggers

one good use for it, is at high lvl, dress up as a L20. then poison someone. watch them suffer with poison of 1/10 their total health :twisted:

your normal attack (2hits) does more damage than spinning
so no point learning that skill

Daggers work differently;
It has 2 hits in "attack" - each is 50%; two of them make 100%.
Spining's each attack is 87%, but it hits twice.

If you get what I mean? About spining, I think you have better skills to use, if you mix Daggers with Xbow, so dont take it.

Ok so I was in a pt with a rogue doing ongs (he's lvl 70) he was using daggers and when he was fighting a PTG the poison would do 2k damage every few seconds, so i find it worth it.

yea lvl 70 killing lvl 32 mobs. when im one hitting mobs my lvl. i wont see the damage at all. so for me its kinda usless

so spinning isnt crucial... meh ill dlvl it to a certain lvl

No one talking about MP usage?

It might do a bit more of damage when you use it, but Vein Weapon use too much MP imo for what it does.
