So I was looking in to possibly starting a wizard, and was thinking about bard subclass. I dont care much about pvp for this character, so thats why no cleric.
I was just wondering, do the bard passives apply even if you have a staff? (Music Life, Vibration)

The passive which gives magical attack certainly doesn't apply with a staff. Or it only applies to bard attack skills. Something like that. I'm not sure about the rest though.

hah, I didnt expect the mag dmg one to carry over, but I was interested about the one for reduced mana consumption

You have only to read the skill description...

Enhances the capability to dance or play the harp with passion for music to reduce the consumption of mana when skills for dance or harp-playing are used.

Ok, thanks. I wasnt in-game, didnt see the skills....

all you need is noise and speed for grinding from bard for PVE. and they do apply when you switch to staff.
