Robe for pvp and mobs with magical damage. Light or heavy armor everywhere else.

not about how good it looks, its about how good it is..
i'd go LA with the cleric passives for a good overall set

I have a lvl 100 Warrior/Cleric and i'm LA. If you have sun parts go HA. But if your like me and can only afford a reg set, go LA. LA + Cleric passive is the best overall for defence.

Well you get only the extra defense if you switch to cleric.. its good if you have to heal yourself in pvp but i can also wear robe.. use shield trash and then heal myself.. has the same effect IMO
so why should i wear such and ugly thing ?
xD NO-GO

this
On the contrary, LA is for overall defense. That and it also has major advantage when it comes to defense, being that you're a cleric youu can switch to cleric rod and tank ( that is if you have the right passives to begin with). You can go robes, since you can keep healing yourself anyways if a jiffy. if you can't afford two sets, then LA all the way and then maybe go robes once you reach cap for PVP purposes?

LA for 1on1 pvp at the cap
Robe for group pvp/fw/jobbing
HA for grinding at lv 99 mobs altough LA would do the job to maybe even better.
Seeing that you are lv 92 I would LA or HA and at the cap I would take either LA or Robe depending if you like 1on1 or group fights.

Go robes.
LA would only be usefull in 3 situations:
1- When healing yourself in pvp - that only takes about 1-3 secs if done well so the passives would be pretty useless.
2 - When you're Knocked Down - I'd rather have the 1h passives (higher BR, more phy def and higher crit parry ratio) over the cleric ones in those situations because they will save your life against rogues that use the KD > DD > mortal wounds thing.
3- When you're the cleric in your grinding party - Hm... You are STR so you should survive with ease without the passives.
I find the robes passives more usefull.
- you can spam heals if having a hard time tanking due to the low mana consumption and it heals ~20% more.
- you can tank wizzies and nukers easily because of the high mag def. And those are the opponents you should be worried about since STRs are easier to tank.
So yeah... Go robes

less you're in HA with a sexy shield the rogue KD + DD + MW will probably kill you either way. Rogues will rape the shit out of you in robes....otherwise you're fine against most builds.
only people I ever used my HA for were rogues, warriors and some glaivers.

Surviving rogues is hard with any kind of Armor. The only thing that will save you would be blocking the attacks and the LA passives won't help... That was my point.
Since he can't afford having both HA and Robe set I'd say robes is better for overall pvp and it's decent for pve therefore it's the best choice.

Unfortunately the cleric passives require a cleric rod equipped

Yup. That's what makes robes a better choice.
