100 Cold instead of 80 Light, 20 Cold

Right now I have a 95 Bower Pach 95, Fire 95, Light 80, Cold 20, FF to 100 (300k SP left). Im thinking of changing my build to 100 Pach, 100 Fire, 100 Cold. The Cold mastery will give me a 336 Phy Def increase compared to 80 Light and 20 Cold build. It might not sound much, but a 98 +5 Ch Shield gives 230 Phy Def increase, so its equivalent to carrying something like a 98 +5 Shield AND a 98 +5 Hands (minus the Mag Def, Parry and Blues obviously).
The benefits to Light are:
Moving Increase (I can use 50%/100% Scrolls)
Parry Increase (Hardly makes a difference, but can use 30% Dodge scrolls)
Mag % Increase (Doesn't really help for an Str)
Phantom
Now the only really helpful thing I would loose by going 100 Cold would be the Phantom, but surely 336 Phy Def increase > Phantom? Im more of a PvP guy, and on Rome, you get called a p***y for Phantoming away from the enemy to make distance between them.
I just want to hear other peoples opinions before I change.

good point but i stil love phantom and the mag % increase helps a litle bit for damage

KB + cold imbue is gonna make people hate you, but your gonna be good.

Not that this helps but I wouldn't care about getting called a a "p***y" when using phantom in pvp. It's a skill. You have the right to use it.
But if you are more of a 1 vs 1 guy I would take 100 cold since it would be more useful to you.

Scrap Light.
Ice is much better for a STR.. though force would be an even better choice, imo :o

If you are PvP-oriented take 100 cold. 80 light/20 cold's advantage is its versatility.

I would deffinetly make the change. Ice will help you really reach your potential in pvp.

You are either forgetting or depreciating phy and mag reinforcement from armor equipment. Although yes, the defense that cold and/or fire gives are considerable, you cannot compare rough magical/physical defense from a armor item with the amount of defense a defensive skill gives, because a piece of equipment further reinforces your defense through it's reinforce % statuses. I do not recall exactly how those reinforces go into defense calculation, but they make a huge difference from what I can remember. To test this, simply take off your shield or any piece of equipment (armor) you have on. Check your defense. Put the equipment back on. Compare. I'm almost 100% sure that you'll notice a considerably bigger difference in your defense than the rough physical/magical defense of the equipment you equipped. That's due to reinforce. The defensive skills on the other hand add exactly the amount they say. Again, I'm not saying that those skills are not effective or anything, this is just something else you have to take into account, and comparing like you are doing is not exactly correct.

I think you should chose cold.
I was Pacheon/fire/force at lvl 95 i switched from force to cold and i'm satisfied.

I thought about that too...but no : ) I hate pvping high ice str chars xD my dmg sucks on them
I would make the switch, it's worth it.
