Okay, so I want to make a s/s nuker. I have a mage and I am tired of dying so often; I want something more durable. I still want to be able take out other players in pvp (ctf and FW). What do you guys say?
~Should I go for max ice, or is it not worth the drop in damage compared to a Lightning nuker?
~If I do take 100 ice, should I go pure or hybrid (and what % hybrid)?
~On the other hand, can a pure Str blader do decent damage (if I turn on Glacial Flame)? How much can it tank through?

Its a good build. only missing some speed, shouts and phanton.. which can be a large help

well, speed can be made up by drug of winds, nukes give range, so phantoms aren't really necessary, and shouts really don't do that much damage (although the short cast time is helpful). I'm just wondering that without the lightning magic damage buff, will my nukes be not enough to kill? Is the ice defense buffs worth the lower damage?

Edit: I want to be hybrid if I don't have lightning. 1:7 sounds good; what % would I be aiming for?

ok i dont wanna be azzh*le but think at future i mean 150 cap ???? Pure nukers are useless , only Hybrids can surive . Or Mastery should be increased but it will not ....

I agree; Chinese are not meant to be pure. But lets not get off topic...could you answer some of my questions maybe?

Just don't.

100 Fire, 100 Ice, pros/cons compared to 100 Ice/Lightning build
-Physical AND magical defense buff
-Both walls
-Stronger imbue
-More nukes
-Can be immune to statuses like freeze, burn etc.

However, the build lacks:
-Magical attack buff. The stronger imbue and nukes partially make up for this.
-Speed buff. Typhoon potions will be your friends.
-Phantom. You won't be able to quickly GTFO when you need to.
-Parry ratio buff. If you wouldn't survive something, you wouldn't survive it with this either.

-Enough nukes. You will only have one up-to-date nuke, the previous book will be considerably weaker

-Can get ice imbue for laughs and to be annoying
-Physical defense buff
-Icewall
-SNOW SHIELD

wow thanks! I think I'll go fire/ice. What ratio hybrid should I be and what % should I aim for?

I think you should go for about 8:1 INT:STR ratio. This would give you a little more HP, more damage for your sword skills (which will still play an important role, but much less important than with light/ice), but you would still be able to use at least 50% snow shield. However, I have no real experience with the ratios of INT chars, so I guess someone else should confirm this.

Why would a lightning/ice use more sword skills?

Because fire users can have 3 up-to-date nukes (one single target and two with different area of effects), while lightning users can have only one.
