I had a wild and crazy idea.... Maybe if you made a warlock/bard it would be the best pve cause you can just DoT every mob around you (if nobody else is there) you have march so you can get away from your mobs faster, then make sure they are all gathered in one area and then use either your bard aoe or your warlock aoe i think it would be best for bard cause they are all either insta casts or almost insta casts

What do you think?

Yes lock/bard is pretty dang good at PvE. Not so sure if it's the BEST build. But it's up there.

That way could make the warlock sp farming easier though...

True. But you won't be all that great in pvp.

Thats why strictly pve i guess....

Hmm.. yeah I guess, if there's no one else around. If there are people around, wiz / bard would be best.
Bard skills are quick.. but it takes two hits to kill mobs, and a wizard could get off one fire bolt before you cast two nukes.

I played a bardlock in PvP at 90 cap, it didn't suck at all. It wasn't the best, but it isn't a pushover build either.

But can you do what I said? Just DoT every mob then aoe em? Or would the mobs run away from you before you can gather alot?

Oh, well you don't even need to us AoE skills honestly.
Just cast two dots on a mob, cast two others on another and so on until you have zerk (which is like every minute as warlock gains zerk so fast xD) Then use zerk, cast ONE DoT per mob and repeat. Champions would probably require a warlock nuke, and for giants you can debuff, dot, nuke.
So yeah... don't bother nuking normal mobs. Two dot skills will kill them.

Hm that was weird it didnt post my earlier post but idk why would you want to keep DoTing them that takes to long wouldn't just DoTing them once and gathering them then aoeing them be faster? Plus you don't get any damage against you trying to squeeze in that last DoT.

What's the point of gathering them in a group if you can just quickly throw two DoTs on them and forget about em'?

hm.. maybe mobs only need one DoT with zerk or without, even better o.O
anyway yeah.. that video is probably the best way to grind the char. Might wanna turn on your own music while watching it, youtube </3

Thats what looks like a high lvl char btw so that takes some to to be able to 1 DoT I'm guessing... But what if this person doesn't have a pet so they might be better off doing what I said if the wanted their items. Or am I just saying what every warlock does to lvl?

Only works well if there's nobody else around. Drives me crazy to have other people (especially wizards) running around killing mobs that I have dots on.

Yeah that wold suck but i guess I have found my 2nd char that i want to try out after my wizard...

I just need to find out if its worth going for and if its even good

Well I'm working on a hybrid warlock/cleric right now, only level 36. It was so easy up to 35, then I moved to turkey birds and there aren't enough to kill efficiently with dots + shadow armor. I really hope it gets a little easier when I'm on higher mobs, but unless I can always find an spot with good spawn and few people (and what's the chance of that?!?), it's going to be very hard to grind.

With bard you'd have an easier time due to the speed, but speed isn't going to help your dots kill any faster.

As to whether it's good... wiz/bard would probably level faster, but warlock/bard is better in pvp. I don't know if you care about that.

Yeah I like pvp but my first char isn't gonna only be for pvp I sometimes like pve better cause you don't have some high lvl killing you everywhere you go..

Yeah I know it won't kill faster with more sped but you won't get hit as much...

Warlock / cleric + speed pots or in a area that doesnt require moving ( nachals) > warlock/ bard

Its definitely one of the fastest soloing builds if there wouldnt be so much bots around in some area's. I cant really think of a better solo pve build.

If you grind like the guy in the vid, then you will lvl faster than a wiz. Really. A warlock also gets zerk 5 times faster. so yeah.

There are no wizards or anybody else ks'ing in that video. I know a warlock can zerk very often and thus possibly train faster than a wizard, but if there are other people ksing there's no way it'll train faster.

yeah you're right on that point

I think if you suspect there is a botter you should be able to go into botter pk to kill the person and it auto sends a message to the gms...

But other than that the warlock... If you went this way would you completly steer clear from the attacks only focus on DoTs?

And what would be better sub class cleric or bard? (and if you answer that which would be best for a full str or full int)

After you cap, what happens then? Enjoy your pvp fail.

Well thats just mean... I said pve I don't care about pvp if I am making an only pve char... And some people actually do like grinding did you ever think about that? I get bored of doing it after like 2-3 hours but sometimes its fun... Depends if I'm with my friends or not...

Wooo I can grind off murderer in 1.5 hours on my warlock/cleric .

For some people it's hard to get to cap without a char that's good at pve. Warrior/cleric is great at pvp but I don't think I could ever handgrind one close to cap.

No, I havent heared of anyone that enjoys pressing 1,2,3,4 for 3 hours everyday, atleast not in Silkroad. I cant belive that people like that exist.

Well that's exactly what your doing in pvp... Just against a real person. That is the only difference so yeah you are technicly just fighting another mob without gaining exp...

Yeah, but against person there are "emotions" involved, and its not monotone, its always different. You cannot make mob say "fack matha"
