Yet Another... Nuker Guide :-P

I'm a fully farmed nuker... And, I'm actually quite done... So I figured I might share some stuff... Enjoy!

Here are some tips that I hope can help:

Leveling:

Lvl 1~60 if possible go garment and spear... and besides doing quest, farm only on Magic using monsters... It's the fastest way and I believe it maximizes your potential...

1~20 is easy... Just about anything...

20~30 Farm in Ravine Gun Powders/Earth Magicians/Taoist

30~40 Kill Scorpions and Dark/Red Eyes from Dead Ravine...

40~50 White Spiders would be great...

50~60 Ishades/Hashades/White-Faced Spiders/Sonars/Planars/Big White-Faced Spiders

60~70 would be different though... You might want to stick with Spear+Armor or go for Swd/Shield+Armor... GARMENT IS NOT AN OPTION untill you get to about 67+ and be able to cruise through Nachals...

PVP:

Just remember, your role is a range damage dealer... So I suggest melee skills to be the least of importance PERSONALLY b/c some people might think otherwise.

Anyway, 1v1's might not be your forte... It might really be frustrating against Pure Strs but well, don't feel all that bad... You still got so much more edge such as faster leveling/faster sp farming/KSing ability(Piss the shit out of ppl), etc... LoL!

Skills

I strongly suggest Fire as main nuke and Lightning as sub nuke... AOE spells would be your best PvP/farming buddy or sometimes bad! Pfft! :-P But anyhow, with the status immunities the new aclhemy provides, it'd be really pointless to get Ice nukes.

As far as the usefulness of some skills, such as the Lion Shout Series and Weapon skills... Well, if you have SP to spare, go for it. Shout is a great finisher and weapon skills are just fun to watch! :-P

Here's my Skill Hotbar :-P

Image

Buffs

All I can say is... Every bit helps :D

Image

Alchemy

Hehe... The last thing you want is to get your nukes cancelled, it's enough to deal with stuns and knocbacks/knockdowns... SO I EXTREMELY SUGGEST TOTAL COLD IMMUNITY! and if possible, all status immunity... (I am :-P)

Critical Parry Ratio would be nice on your shields too! (Try not to play around with shield too much though, at one instance I lost 19 block and went to 10 with my old shield using a 10%AttrAssim Pdef Inc Stone and boy it was a bitch to upgrade back up!) And if you can increase your parry or hit ratio further, it would be a great help.

Image

Also, a no brainer, STAMINA and INT/STR stones. Save and use every bit of them! :-P

Word of caution : Unless you want other stats to change while doing your alchemy, ALWAYS use the 10% Attribute stones and beware of anything more than that.

Lastly I suggest that you don't try increasing any stats that are already about (+33% and above). Trust me... It's not easy! Alchemy can be a bitch!

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

Not here to tell everyone how to play b/c you're probably here for the same reasons I do -- To have fun... So feel free to experiment around and try everything out. Be sure to save some money for Skill reallocation potions though. :-P

Last thing I want to say, hmm, to maximize your potentials, pay real close attention to the things you lack, i.e. HP and Defense :-P

Well, just so if anyone would be curious, here's my build (Currently) :

31 Swd/60 Spear/68Cold/68Ltng/69 Fire

Nice guide. Btw, what that critical 100 (+100%) means? Because nukes doesn't crit it's useless? :?

He's on Troy.

The critical on the shield is to reduce the chances of other people (aka pure str) from landing a crit on him.

BTW, is this a pure int or hybrid nuker guide?? This guide might be useful but maybe confusing and could cause disaster to people's characters if they thought that this guide was the right guide for their build...

Ok, that would clarify things out...

Another thing, what's "a no brainer" stone and a "10% attribute stones"?? Just asking cause I have not yet seen one... :D :D

Lol, he's saying it's a no-brainer to use str and hp stones.

When you make stones from tablet's they tell at the bottom what the chances of attribute assimilation are. 10% is the lowest I've seen and 30% the highest. Asmile is saying you should use 10% chance stones when you try to alchemy so you have a smaller risk of ruining your equipment

Ahhh cuchu stole my inquiries... LoL Nice tho :-P

Hmm, I put in nuker guide b/c I didn't really go Pure Int... Before Alchemy update I put in a total of 9Str in my character... So yah... Then again, the Magical and Physical Balance Says it all :-P I'm still an Int nuker :-P

ok just asking u seem to be going all 3 offensive forces and sword/shield. How does this work out for you? Do you find that it works better than a spear? Now that theres that new alchemy, shields seem to be getting better and better and more and more useful too, with that awesome crit block thing. I thought I wanted to do spear but i dont know now. I think im gonna go hybrid, but very int heavy, and also all 3 forces. What would u suggest?
Im so confused lol :?

I actually had both Garment and Armor set to begin with... Both Spear and Swd/Shield as well... *Active PvPer*

Anyway, I suggest that before you enter cave, you equip yourself with an armor set. Don't really have cave quest till 61 so maybe you can try gather your armor set before 61. :-P

Hmm, honestly, I don't like hybrids -- I think they are really gimped at later levels. So I'd tell you to avoid that path.

Hmm, the good thing about ints is that you are not so focused on weapon skills that you have the flexibility to use both swd/shield and the spear -- Situation dependent.

Pros of Spear:

Highest maximum output damage for Ints (Both Nukes & Weapon Skills)

Cons of Spear:

In trade for higher damage, you sacrifice defense & shield benifits (i.e. block, crit parry ratio, etc...)

It's upto you... If you can get your Head/Chest/Pants Enchanted with More HP I'm sure spearing at cave with armor should be just fine... But I STRONGLY SUGGEST Swd/Shielding... Shield after all is an Int's bestfriend, especially in PvPs.

400 on head/400 on legs/250 on chest (Down to 150 now -- Stupid Alchemy)

Yes its the new crit parry ratio thing thats got me thinking about sword + shield. I know I'll have extra defence because of ice passive and frost guard, but crit parry could be very useful against pure str bow especially. Thing is, Ive always heard that a good nuker build can be fire 90, light 90, ice 60, spear 60 and they dont mention sword at all :( . Do you train sword mastery or spear mastery or both?
The sword mastery could be useful but i dont know whether there will be enough room for it later on.

Yah, I'm planning to go spear after the cap is raised... I'll be taking out swd masteries to make room...

Unless you have SOS Swds I really think It would be such a hassle trying to kill Pure STRs... Mad Mad HP and Crazier Interruption skills from Spear tree...

Constant level difference... I didn't stop at any particular level... or even did lvl 70 farming with 9 lvl difference. I'm an active pvper... most I had was 5 lvl difference at 70 just so I have the 4th book of Fire imbue.

I'm an int... Never got too concerned about it really...
