Hey guys,

I readed alot about bowers and I think they are pretty cool. So I wanna ask something what is a good build for bowers.
I know the common build is 100pach/100fire/80light/20cold. But is it not better to make it 100pach/100fire/100ice or 100pach/100fire/80ice/20light, because the only thing what bowers don't got is a good defensive and with ice you can boost up your defense pretty well. I can also use the ice imbue so I can make them frostbited who aren't immune for it.
And also shall I make it pure str or 70:70 or another hybrid build?

It all depends on what your intending to do. e.g, builds like 70:70 want Ice + Light similar levels for the DEF, but they do get pretty hurt in PVP, but are the best china PVE char. Pure str is the way you want to go for PVP really.

lol they are all out-dated and just 2 of them not. 1 with force (I dont want that build) and one hybrid (I don't go hybrid)

well i got lvl84 bower and from experience in playing it i think the best build for bower is :weapon-fire-light(100-100-100) also some people switch ice for light but i don't like that because u kill at range so the mob won't be able to give u serious damage.Fire imbue is the best imbue in the same time burn the mob all the time

I have a 9x Bower, 100 Pach, 100 Fire, 80 Light, 20 Cold, and I love it! Il tell you why ^^

Firstly, its SP efficient. It takes less that 800k sp to be FF to 100. Thats not much compared with builds such as a Warrior/Cleric that needs 2mill+. Secondly its a good overall build. Its damage is slightly less than a Chinese Int, but slighty more than a Chinese Str. This makes it pretty good in PvE since it can 2 hit mobs of your level, and can tanks Party mobs, Giants and GP's too. Finally, the new skills at 10D own! The second KB make it so you are able to spam KB. This can be useful in so many ways. For example protecting a silk trans from a thief in oblation. No one can kill him, so just spam KB to immobilising him. The KB will cancel most of his attacks, keeping the silk trans safe ^^ Also it can be useful when you see those capped Wizards with Warrior buffs, Cleric buffs, Cleric heals, and Bard buffs at DW South. Just spam KB to immobilise them, or knock them back into safe zone The Bow also gets new Strong Bow and new Explosion Arrow which are nice in PvP.

Okey guys I decided to make a pure STR archer. The build is not sure because I don't wanna have a overall build. I just woke up and I was thinking why not a 100pach/100light/100ice build? The damage from the imbue is not a difference when I take light as a imbue becuase you are pure STR. What do you think about this build?

Edited: Lol I just considered that I dont got any immune so maybe is it better to take 80 ice and 20 fire (for just totally immune?)

You won't have the physical damage increase buff from Fire. Doesn't sound really good for a pure STR build.

But i only want to crit so, and i got more time because i got a higher defense?

Only against STR-based players who could probably tank your non-buffed damage, even the crits.

Does a bower needs lightning then because I think a 100fire/100ice build is a good build for pvp but not for jobwar right?

lighting is a must for any bower.

And ice is not needed. Maybe at lvl20 to get snow shield and lowlvl ice imbue

I'd also suggest you to make a pure int bow. It's really cool. (I know it was useless at 60 70 and 80 cap, but now its just awesome. And for this, you will need ice at max )

I disagree, a capped bower has more damage but less survivability than a glavier.

judging by the crit increase skills, new strong bow and xplosion arrow,

yes for this cap, bow is the most aggressive chinses char,
the multipliers, cri enhancement and the hawks for attack rating maximize damage.

just have to test it against npc glavier with same build just dealing damage on something for a few minutes to ultimately see who hits the most in that period

bow can crit so what? didn't you notic the blue parry has increased up to 60%? what ever you think, glaive's still the most aggressive and deadly chinese full str char. if you don't use kb constantly, bow dies pretty fast. and other full str chars don't die from one strongbow followed by explosion arrow. that's a fact.

base parry is decreasing on the other hand
what ever you think, glaive's still the most aggressive and deadly chinese full str char
most aggressive juding by the raw comparison of the weapon stats, comparing the weapon skill power ups though, bow has a very good chance of outdamaging glaive like i said.
if you don't use kb constantly, bow dies pretty fast
of course i know that bow lacks the hp of a glavier and block/defence of a blader,but for now, compare the attack, not defence.
and other full str chars don't die from one strongbow followed by explosion arrow. that's a fact
but even a glavier will die if he cannot stun or knockback a bower after 3 successful attacks, and will definitely get into a tight situation if an attack crits, and since there is a relatively high probability that that will happen, the glavier will have to concentrate on maiming the opponent before killing.

in a comparison of both attack and defence, glavie would win since it has a higher hp and that mag. defence 15 second buff.

but strictly speaking of attack, both might be about the same at the cap

What do you gurus think about; 100 Light / Pacheon / Ice ?.
