Alright, i've watched videos and read all the guides for these two builds available on SRF, and i still can't decide which one to pick, Wizard/Cleric or Rogue/Cleric?

I know that both are amazing damage dealers and decent tankers thanks to Cleric sub-mastery, so i guess that what i'm looking for is diversity, which one will be more fun to solo grind for long stretches of time(i very rarely buy silk so it can take me a while to get from level to level)?
I'm also a big fan of the Trading Job, which one of these two builds will do better in that situation?
I'm not a big fan of PvP but the ability to tear people of my level apart would be great too.

I had a level 50 rogue FF daggers and xbow but it bored me for some reason. I also prefer the wizards nukes cause their just, well. Fun.

But if your going to be soloing a lot you'll probably end up dying a bunch with wiz, so rogue would be a better choice for soloing in terms of survivability while I'd pick wiz for partying.

For trading you can be pretty much either build. Their both good. I'd say rogue a little bit better cause it can tank more. But it's up to you.

I'd say rogue/cleric is better for pvping. Since you won't get 1 shotted easily.

Wizard hit harder than rogues. Rogues can tank a lot better than wizards if ur using ur cleric sub well. Rogues are a lot better at 1vs1 (Wizards just aren't really suited to it). For trading, well my experiences of trading is sitting on a camel spamming kits. I haven't done less than a 4* since lvl40.

The only way you're going to die with wiz is if you grind on higher level mobs/ get ganged up with a giant. Wiz clerics have bless/ recovery div, so it's survivability increases. That's where vigors come in play if you want to tank a bit more, I never found wiz clerics to die easily honestly only wiz/bards die quick. Wiz/clerics actually don't get one shotted, if you're pretty farmed you'll be dealing damage and be able to tank pretty well ( even with robe ).


OnT: On the long runs, Wiz/clerics can be fun since you'll be hitting hard on your mobs + leveling fast ( which means by any chance you can power farm a new char if you get board of it ). Rouge/clerics on the other hand, becomes better at tanking.

I'd go wiz/cleric just for the nuking fun factor, but it's up to you.

From your post I conclude you want diversity + survivability. Which leads you to a rogue. Wizard has great heals and such but you cant heal through 10k dmg when you only have 5k.

Wizard absolutely has no diversity IMO, I grinded at a friends wiz/cleric 90 FF for a while + pvp. You pretty much : nuke 1, nuke 2, nuke 3, nuke 1 , nuke 2 , nuke 3 etc.

Wizard fits better in partys though, anyway if you aint gonna buy silk stay away from sro.

I'll write on short.

Wizard/Cleric if you like Uniques and its good for hunter. Also for plvl other chars.
With good gear also good in pvp.

Rogue/Cleric also if you like uniques and very good thief(with daggers). Daggers good in pvp too,
the longest range with xbow.

I preffer Wizard!!!

i couldn't decide too at first.
Then I made a wizard , because it's more fun. I reached lvl65, and got enough of Isro.
Now I started again on Vsro. Same problem came to me. I choose to be a rogue cause I already have a wizard


(by the way, as a rogue I don't need to farm as much as a wizard , that was another reason )
