which would be a better sub for a warlock?

Cleric is better for pvp.

Go with cleric for survivability and bard for mobility. Up to you.

Warlock/bard is much more fun (for me) being able to dot mob after mob while running, but you get the same result w/ a lock/cleric if you have speed drugs. In pvp lock/cleric have more advantages than bardlock, like bless/holy spell/healing cycle.

Just depends on your preferences.

Bard has some unique buffs and are very important to parties. There are a lot of clerics, not as much bards. Maxing both warlock and bard will be a useful char, even if it can't survive as well as lock/clerics by itself

What about bards nukes they are very fast.
If you debuf and then bard nuke you can kill most players...
Or am i wrong?

would cost about 200k sp for all bard attacks but yeah, it would be deadly.
debuff for attack to replace the shield defence you will lack with the harp

switching would be a prob though

Yeah but for soloing, the garm moving speed is hell, atleast for me. And buying speed drugs for 100k each for 30mins is rather expensive. Warlock/clerics are fun but i find dot > next mob > dot > next mob > dot > next mob and moving all the time more fun.

does a bard/lock without bless even stand a chance against other players

Can a pure int warlock survive a pure int s/s nuke (if he doesn't block)?

I myself am a warlock/cleric and all lvl 90 pure int nukers onehit me (I wear light armor and I'm 92 with gap 4... I posses a sos shield and still onehit xD)

but if I turn cleric mod.. I'm no onehit anymore^^ so go for cleric turn into cleric heal yourself---> use bless (BLESS IS NIT PITYFULL IT'S A SKILL IT'S NOT SOMETHING FORBIDDEN!!!)
and owne everything there^^ I with lvl 92 and bless
do even own a lvl 95 pure int garment (+4 set max level) with snow xD

buy 100% drug speed... I think it's not really expensive and with cleric as "sub" (well.. I use both of them equal) you'll survive critical situations

or they want a unique build instead of a cookiecutter build, also it's a great build if used properly.
Anyone can debuff an opponent, put them to sleep and 1hit them with offering, that's boring.
I've played my friends bardlock at 90 and it was really fun, I couldn't play it as well as him of course.. but it was nice to debuff an opponent, cast a warlock nuke then switch to bard quickly for booming wave. Not a lazy farmer build at all. He also had a warrior / warlock AND warlock / cleric at 80 cap but only continued his bardlock at 90, so obviously he likes the build.

warlock/bard is fun for pve. In parties you will be welcome as a bard. If you solo, then you will move fast, won't agro too much, and will be able to do the "WoW Warlock Affliciton Grind". It means you kill by dots only. Trust me.. its fun

and if speed drug is to pricey just make them urself but the amount of time warlocks can stay grinding ull be able to make up for the gold easily just get a pet

There you dont realy have the time to debuff and curse and so on and then use weak warlock nukes.
But if you have a bard you can use fast casting bard nukes... like in this video:

And you can use warlock for sleep and stun...
And for survivability you could use tambour while running...

90% of people at fortress war will have holy word its inevitable thats when ur sub becomes ur main class and u just act as a cleric to help the people around u

idk about u but on babel bards are rare so even if u do have bard as a subclass for support u wont be able to use the dance skills so its almost pointless the cleric heals would be more helpful than ur one tambor

IMO, cleric is better for both pvp and pve, cause in pvp of course it adds a lot of survivability and in pve you can act as a sort of sub cleric in parties.

Ok looks like I didnt write what i think clear enough.

I do not want to be support.
I would go warlock/cleric but the problem is that while this build can
kill at 1v1 pvp, I think it cant kill in group pvp like jobs and fortress.
Why?
Because at group pvp holy word makes warlock almost useless and cleric cant kill.

So we look at warlock/bard. I dont know how easy of a target would i be without bless
and others cleric buffs in 1v1 pvp. But at group pvp I think it would be better.
Again we are in group pvp and I start attacking and see they all have holy word
now i can switch to bard and with super fast casting bard nukes I think I have
better chance of killing than with lock/cleric. I should still have at least 1 cleric
in a party so I also have some cleric buffs and in a though situation i can throw my tambour
on and run away.
Oh and I can also use warlocks stun...

And one more question who has a stronger nuke if they both were attacking the same monster,
Warlock or Bard?

I hope you understood me now I have no attention to be support, i want to kill with either
lock/cleric or bard/lock, so just dont post "hey if you want to kill go warlock/warrior or
something noob!"

Please write your opinions on what i wrote to help me decide between those 2 builds.
