Warlock users, are you all now useless? Has the new update hurt or helped, because I haven't heard anything about them actually.

Ive been playing on my friends char Night_Watch (Rogue Lock) that is lvl 91 and just has the new crossbow (all 9D gear other then that) Im not very good at playing the build, but i still kill lvl 95+s with ease so i dont think locks are done just yet.

Warlocks have been nerfed to the point that 98% of their skills are useless vs Holy Spell/Word, this has been tested by me and been posted in the Warrior/Warlock guide in the guide section. The point is not even Panic will go through Holy Spell now, normally it will go through it regardless with a 20% chance of resistence, however the case now is that it will NEVER go through, even IF you have disease on the enemy. Warlocks have been nerfed whereas in KSRO its Holy Word that was balanced to 50% as it always should have been.

Yes this is confirmed, Panic(Wheel Bind) use to be able to go through Holy word at 90 cap. Which was warlocks most important debuff. Now Joymax has broken it, It does not work at all through holy anymore. Also Advanced Reflect Still does not work at all for the party.

So V, how do you pvp? Do you still use 1h?

Yeah, I tested it out thoroughly also, doesn't stick. I had no idea about the reflect bug.. maybe panic will be fixed if they ever fix the reflect.. doubt it.

This will be a pain against warrior/clerics, but they can still be beaten. I have 2hand skills (along with axe and 1hand)and usually have good luck with the 2hand against warriors. The higher damage output makes up for lack of debuffs. Just have to use all the "disabling" attacks effectively to act as defense for yourself. (Stun, KB, sprint, KD) (I have no experience with INT based warlock builds.)

We'll see once there are a few capped warlocks and warriors. For me it will be awhile.. warrior warlock isn't the fastest leveler.. Especially when I'm rarely in an 8 man party.

some warlock/warriors will still be able to kill a dumbass warrior/cleric,but a warrior that can effectively weapon switch/heal it is VERY unlikely that a warrior/lock stands a chance.

lock vs chinese will probably will be the same, 90% of the times a lock will win,, maybe a bower with firewall/2x kb will have a much better chance of winning.

A warlock/warrior who can effectively switch can be just as challenging. From 2hand to axes for additional stun, bleed etc etc. But I agree, it will be extremely tough now.

Will be relatively the same against Chinese except, like you said, perhaps bowers. Even still, if you can get a good debuff sequence in after they spam pills, stun..blah blah, they're down. PVP is just a mixture of luck/skill. More skill, but a good chunk of luck is involved.

Meh, I'm not worried. Against warrior clerics I generally didn't use warlock too much anyways with the exception being stuns and advanced reflect. Put a bleed DOT, and go nuts with axes, 2h, and 1h.

I'm still hoping they'll fix this though. I was really hoping for the 50% HW, not further warlock nerfing.

Interesting about panic not working through holy now. Should make warlocks a lot less powerful in 1v1 pvp and in group pvps if the other side has a good cleric. Against Chinese it should remain deadly.

Advanced reflect does work for party members, just way less often than it should. I've posted a screenshot about it before.

I use a combination of 1h sword, 2h sword and Dual axe, all fully skilled because I may aswell since I cant use warlock against anyone now pretty much.

9D on 2 is all I've been able to try. Same skill and spell as 90 cap, no longer sticks.

Crossing fingers that maxed 10D sticks through 3.

I don't remember testing it out, but I think it does. If the warlock skill doesn't, my axe skills will. If the axe skill doesn't stick..then the warrior/clerics are getting nerfed also.

I don't know about PvP wise yet, but so far for helping hunt Medusa, full farmed warlocks are generally a lot more accepted in parties than they have been in previous caps.

And for those people who say Hybrid Warlock = fail...actually, Pure INT Warlock = fail. I regret switching builds, I loved my hybrid Warlock...

And for people who say that it isn't a fair pvp...this guy even puts on holy word on the opponents that he fights...to MAKE things fair.

Well the thing is, people say Warlock's will be useless and what not at 10d because they get nerfed so much that most of their skills don't work on their opponents...so what does that do? It brings fear to all the new starters of Warlock, and since they like it in the beginning, they want to continue playing; but if they find out that most of the skills don't work at later levels make them quit at earlier levels... But, this shows a perfect example of how a Warlock can still kill other people without the needs of sleep/de-buffs.

I believe that in csro the 50% holy word is or has come as an update, hopefully it will be the same for us

the only things left are a 15s stun and dps.

This strategy is only in 1on1 possible. You wont be able to do that in group pvp. Imo for group pvp the warlock can be replaced by any other class. He isnt special anymore.

*votes for the 50% holy nerf* would be much more fun even for chinese players
