70:70 Bow Vs 69:70 Spear

Post by 360apples »

the title says it all i'm making a new character aside from pure strs and esspecially ints. I was wondering what i should build, a 70:70 bow? or a 69:70 spear. I don't wanna die too much in pve and excel in pvp and pve like do well in both. And do find in unique hunting. What would be better over all? and if there is another build lemme know =D .

Thanks

i think i already posted something about 70:70 bow hm
oh found it
pros:
- High base damage, Not very crit dependant
- Still Enough crit damage to get dangerous
- balanced phys/mag defence and damage
- moderate mp: can use high snow shield, thus very had to kill with snow shield on
- can use (or must use) a high snow shield to survive tight situations

contras:
- Lack of snow shield: danger--> not much tankability without it
- can use (or must use) a high snow shield to survive tight situations:
once snow shield is down you are easy to take down unless you run

- Lack of defence and hp compared to bladers and heuksal users

same goes for 70:70 spear, except:
pros:
- higher damage
- more hp
- no need for arrows

contras:
- no range
- no crit enhancing attacks

70:70 spear is more of a pvp build while 70:70 bow is more of a pve build,
since bow lacks the hp and is more snow shield dependant

I think both are equally Snow Shield dependant, as the bower can simply KB if it finds itself in a "hard" situation.

Both are very strong builds, the main difference between them is the range.

Bower is better at PvE, bower is slightly better against Uniques I think, bower is also better at group PvP, and spear will probably do slightly better in 1vs1 PvP. Both are good at pretty much everything nevertheless.

Im 70:70 bower and have been PvPing much with an 70:70 spear-user back at the 80 cap and the wins and loses were almost 1:1.
I think both builds are almost equal.

spear is more suited to 1vs1 pvp. I really found it hard to make much use of my 69:70 spear in group pvp, as it's damage is a little weak compared to full ints
Wish the best for raphaell666
