How about this bower for the new cap...

Pure Str 100 Pach/Light/Ice...

Seems like it would be a very defensive build.. maybe use both Ice and Lite Imbues.. I know I'd be hitting lower without fire and I would be lacking the magical defense buff, but otherwise seems ok... what you guys think?

That build for a pure STR? I don't think that's a good option. In my opinion, if you want to have cold imbue, you should aim for at at least 61 fire. Anyways I'd prefer and suggest you to go for 100pacheon/100cold/100fire if you want maximum defense and cold imbue. If you want to have speed, then I'd suggest 100pacheon/100fire/80lightning/20cold. The build 100pacheon/100lightning/100cold is more suited for a hybrid int.

Me and my wife were debating this build and I told her the same thing... this would be more of a hybrid build, but she disagrees.

Meh... I told her we will both farm our respective preferences (which in my case is the 80lite/20ice) and then pvp them to see who comes out on top.

Semi-Off Topic: Would the Crits of a 8:1 Str hybrid bow be much lower then a pure? Idk very much about hybrids... with me its always been pure one way or the other, or nothing.

Not really. And the increase in average damage will more than suffice for the loss in critical damage as far as I know. But you'd still be losing HP.

8:1 one is a kind of slight hybrid, not like he'd loose very much hp at all

Absolutely, but he'd still be losing HP, and that would still make difference (even if sort of slightly). I think he'd lose almost 2k HP, which I agree, is not really a lot.
